不清楚，而且地毯价格较高，估计把人工都打进去了，所以最后还是在local店买的地
毯，找人安装的。之前对装地毯的费用也是一头雾水，这里小结下，给后来人参考。
材料：
地毯：$1-$8不等
Pad：$0.3-$1不等，最好选有防潮层的
人工（无论HD还是Carpet公司，最好事先每项都打听清楚）
铺地毯：Local $0.4/sqft; HD $37(or $99)/whole house
拆地毯：Local $0.1/sqft 包运走;HD $0.18/sqft 不知运走不
挪家具：因为是空房，没有问，但都收费。
楼梯:
Waterfall(不包Stair的舌头，直接拉到底）：Local $4/step; HD $8/step
Hollywood（把楼梯舌头包起来，比较整洁）:Local $6/step;HD $15/step
Pole（需要用地毯包起来）：Local $2/pole; HD unknown

注意最底下的那块板子是一体的。其它的是拼接的。
有几个经验教训！
1. 能一体就一体。我当时考虑到楼梯中间拐弯的地方和最订端要跟地板连接，就用来
一样高的stair nose（都是半寸）。感觉有些单薄了。最后最底下的那级，忘了留拼接
的木板了。只好买了一整块，安装。很复杂的锯好，craigslist买了一个$25 router，
人家随赠了bits，把锯过的左侧route成一样的stair nose，真TMD的出人意料的好！
2. 能精确切割就精确切割吧。我当时觉得tread纵向用table saw肯定不会很直，所以
早就设计好加molding。结果绝大多数都很直。根本不需要molding。但是当时随便锯的
，有那么几个缝隙还是大了，还得用。结论是，其实table saw还是能锯直的。唉。
3. 有些太tight了，结果把侧面都撑开了一点。最好还是去掉一点点。
总体来看，还是满意的。非常solid。尚需几个caulking和加molding。 |

一级用stair nose拼起来。当时脑子短路，只想着consistent，最后为了避免T-
molding，用来stair nose 拼接的方案。大家能一块板就一块板吧。 |

If you're just doing the floor not stairs, all of the cut lines can be
covered by baseboard/quart-round or transition. So 40 teeth is ok. If you're
doing the stairs, you may need finer ones. But you can cover some of these
up with caulk or something of that sort. I haven't done this yet. Some of
the famous IDs on this board have done it.
Also, keep in mind, saw blade does go out after many many cuts. So don't

家里的楼梯铺的是地毯，每次上楼时让我想起原来房主的大黄狗。 不是想起，是闻起
。装修楼梯是难免的.
在楼梯上铺木地板，stair nose 要40块一根；买tread and riser是一个选择，漆好现
成的挺贵；买没有漆好的木头的，自己漆， 要几天才干，屋里味道很大。
常规做法怎么都贵，所以要坚定不移地寻找替代。
一次视察homedeport，无意中发现了一种暗红色corner，和楼上地板颜色匹配，而且
只要3块钱(8尺长)，用它当stair Norse正好。只要用附合木地板包了楼梯，再把
CORNER扣在水平和垂直地板接缝上就好了。
我买的地板是4英寸的，每一节楼梯（10英寸）需要铺2块半，因此需要大量的横向切割
。最好买台桌锯。圣迭戈寸土寸金，干完后，桌锯放哪呀？有了，把circular saw 固

hate"这个网站。所以不会去那里竞价。
2。Dealer当时说如果你自己能组团，有40人的话，可以给我们一个不错的价格。当然

3。Bucket是个start up，他们理念是不错。类似于反ebay的模式进行。让商家来互相
竞价争取买家。
1）但是首先，bucket没有ebay的知名度。多少商家会来呢？
2）bucket的这种把人流引向自己网站的做法，只是为了自己知名度的需要。他们
其实没有考虑到是否是对团购买家最有利的价格。

1)刷漆(室内, 4个bedroom 包括一个套房, Living room, Family room, kitchen,
dinning room, entrance, high ceiling): 一共找了三个公司,
a.第一个要价$1500不包油漆 (油漆大概$600)
b.第二个要价$2500不包油漆
c.第三个要价$5200包油漆
最后选的第一个,开始有点担心便宜没好货,干完之后还是满意的.如果有兴趣,我可以把

2)地毯
a.开始朋友介绍一个,价钱貌似OK,但是地毯的质量较差,很薄,很稀,大概30 Ounces左右
.此人美其名曰地毯太厚太密了不好,脏东西吸不出来!
b.从Craigslist上找了两个,都说便宜,但地毯也是太薄

1)刷漆(室内, 4个bedroom 包括一个套房, Living room, Family room, kitchen,
dinning room, entrance, high ceiling): 一共找了三个公司,
a.第一个要价$1500不包油漆 (油漆大概$600)
b.第二个要价$2500不包油漆
c.第三个要价$5200包油漆
最后选的第一个,开始有点担心便宜没好货,干完之后还是满意的.如果有兴趣,我可以把

2)地毯
a.开始朋友介绍一个,价钱貌似OK,但是地毯的质量较差,很薄,很稀,大概30 Ounces左右
.此人美其名曰地毯太厚太密了不好,脏东西吸不出来!
b.从Craigslist上找了两个,都说便宜,但地毯也是太薄
c.Home Depot and LOWS 的DEAL 不错,$2.09/sf, 大概 80 Ounces 左右 and good

pocket is THE HOT area due to best schools in Austin, as well as almost the
only location to make two job family commute work. But it's very difficult
to buy a house in that pocket if that's the only school sets you are
targeting. Only about 100 houses or so at 10 years old. 1/3 of them are on
busy street. Also another bunch too close to power towers and power lines.
