学生维系他们在社会的影响力。那么什么样的学生藤校最喜欢，有社会影响力的学生。
奥巴马也好，扎克伯格也好，都是在不同的领域发挥了巨大影响力的人。藤校并不在乎
出了多少医生，多少年收入上了贫困线的工程师，因为他们对藤校的名声没啥帮助。
湾区牛小学初中高中亚裔学生比例很大，结果是什么，从小就承受比别人高的多的竞争
压力，人家科罗拉多好学校的学生学习时间不到你湾区学生的一半，课余可以进行自己
真正的爱好。湾区学生又是高中课，又是AP，还要参加各种活动以证明自己不是书呆子
，有领袖力。最后，一个湾区好高中排10%的学生，和一个科罗拉多好高中排10%的学生
，在人生的成就上有差别吗，没有。那么为啥湾区学生活的这么累呢，就是因为亚裔太
多。
有的爹妈不干了，难道勤奋也有错？从某种意义上说，没错，勤奋也是错。大家看到中

够多了，遣返一些吧。
问题是，如果连内部都不能正视自己的问题，只会说我们多优秀多受歧视，那就永远没
有翻身的希望。
你再怎么说也没法否认，亚裔多的地方，学生就是苦逼。这根亚裔优秀一毛钱关系也没
有。无非就是亚裔除了数字游戏不会别的，只能搞血汗工厂，你2380， 我就2400， 你
6门ap我就7门。显得很牛逼，把自己和别人都搞的疲惫不堪。
以前允许价格联盟的时候，商家都要入伙，谁也不许私自降价。我看亚裔集中的地方也
很需要这个东西，每人只许3门ap,谁也不许多。省下的时间自己琢磨怎么让自己
standout, 但是就是不许拼数量。

作为正直正常的商家，我肯定会要求抵制。即使作为理性消费者，我也会抵制的。一来
恶性杀价竞争可能会降低产品质量，二来可能淘汰很多有前途的企业，造成将来我没有
商品可买，第三如果最后恶性竞争的胜利者垄断市场，我可能会花更多的钱买质量一般
的产品。
所以，我理解那些提倡不推的孩子的父母。他们不推自己孩子，也不希望其他父母没有
底线地推。比如孩子力所能及，能上10门ap也无所谓，但是对于过度牺牲课外时间，甚
至睡眠时间推的父母，是应该适当反对。比如，有个父母的孩子智商160，上10门ap轻
松得A，结果无数智商120的晚上只睡4小时上了10门ap都得A，那些娃娃上了大学后比较
吃力，被大学认为平庸，然后这个智商160的娃娃申请时，也被不觉认定了。当然我家
没有智商160的娃娃，我也不打算推我娃，那么和不是商家的消费者一样，这个就和我
没有关系了么？当然不是，我还是希望华人中160智商的娃娃更加standout，作为华裔
的精英来代表我娃的形象，所以我要反对无限制无底线地推。 |

修十几门AP的少。而且，现在流行的是一点能STAND OUT， 还修着N多的AP， 参加N个
CLUB。 比如有人提过的ERIC CHEN， 人家三项科学头奖，某个奥赛还进了决赛，同时
还是击剑队的。
周围的不推，修AP不超过四门的，现在都在考虑外洲的公校，因为本洲的州立的竞争都
太激烈了。所以要出私立的钱让孩子念各好公立，要么就去烂公立。 |

我觉得每个案例都不一定有代表性。
我想说的是，这个孩子就是天资一般的普通孩子，和北潭说的，推一推可能也能学下去
，不过估计最后也就是个普通人，不太像能爬藤能standout那种。不过让他自己选择，
最后也是回归普通人生，不过他尝试过，最后自己明白了，皆大欢喜。
有人说，他没有培养出不怕困难迎着困难上的品质。我想说的是，这种品质有时候不容
易培养出来。有些人选择逃避是本能，不过孩子他自己肯定在这个过程中也意识到自己
这个“弱点”了吧。所以他对自己认识方面还是有收获的，然后规划选择今后人生道路
，他也知道自己是个怕困难的人，容易趋易避难，会考虑自己这方面欠缺而有所为有所
不为。
其实我觉得，有时候认识自己弱点接受自己弱点，比一心克服自己弱点，对人生作用更
大。（我特指那部分不是致命的弱点，其实在大多数情况下，很多弱点并不致命） |

人生方向是个projection, 最后结果是个未知数。

school for getting better odds of attending a good college.
but this example LZ brought up is pretty lame - given her talent level, it's
irrelevant which school she goes to as she would've stand out at any school
. if anything, the lesson should be "how was she able to stand out in spite
of (not b/c of) her surroundings."
to me, getting into a good college by itself is not an end goal - do well in
