all know the most effective cream for eczema is steroid cream, and a strong
steroid can temporarily cure any eczema. However, the side effect of
steroid is the main reason why so many parents are conservative at using it
on babies.

，长话短说。
上来update 一下今天进展。昨晚拿到inhaler和mask, 实在不知道怎么操作有效，宝宝
很抗拒，今早保姆来了，说她给她儿子用过steroids, 可以治lung immflamation. 我
就去了同一个医生那里继续talk。今早她态度有所改变。先说，也许不是asthma, 然后
又继续问我家里哮喘过敏史。我继续说没有。她说那就算没有，也是近似asthma 的症
状。 说用inhaler 最好，一是便于携带，二是副作用小。我问能用steroids吗？她说
steroids 副作用大，宝宝用完可能会dizzy, cranky, crazy.
然后我说肺有炎症，她说是的，肯定有，但是因为没有高烧，不用抗生素。就说用
inhaler 一两天内肯定会大有好转。i我说如果不好怎么办？毕竟是快4个星期的咳嗽，

也许是昨天坐了5小时的车，我的腰疼已经扩散变严重，开始spasm，一点不能弯，越来
越接近腰椎间盘突出前的样子。犯病了我就只能卧床了。LD说去问hotel找个医院看看，
我小农有点犹豫，心想没有保险肯定贵死人。可想想也没别的办法，要不就只能立马该机
票回家看医生调养。
照例下楼吃早餐:
hotel的高大男非常非常帮忙，跟他讲了情况后主动帮我把去急诊室挂号，我的病情病
史，上次医生怎么用药的话，都翻译成西班牙文写在一张小纸上。还说了好几遍他最担
心的是语言不通给看错病开错药. 这人看上去很严肃但非常nice, 做事认真负责，心
细周到，有典型阿根廷人说话罗嗦的特点。LD问没有保险会不会很贵，人家一愣，‘what? it is
free'，LD也楞'what? free?' 。紧张了半天，原来阿根廷是全民医保(universal

had to wash his toes every time when he come back from outside and 3 times a
day regularlly. But it's getting better.the vet gave him some antihistamine
and said if this and the wash does not clear the allergy, he will be put on

发帖数: 2109 | 13 对，你说到topical steroid, 就靠谱一点了，要不我真是不明白。
关于topical steroid，有几点我要提醒你。首先，不能作为预防用，有病才能用；二
，不建议长期使用，病好就停药。两者的原因都是为了避免对药物产生tolerance。就
是下次你给同样的强度计量，就不管用了。
其次，使用topical steroid 药效最大化的时候，是after shower，你可以再给身体上
裹一层防止挥发的东西罩起来。
如果使用systemic steroid，比方口服的或者注射的，停药的时候需要taper，否则会
出现rebound dermatatis，就是重新皮炎而且更严重。
还有关于抗生素，也是非常容易产出resistance如果经常使用或者在不必要的时候使用。
以上还都是讨论在人身上的情况，但是我觉得猫猫应该是同样道理。我建议还是尽量弄
清楚原因，一次根除。 |

有inflammation, 而且酥饼身体好转一些，可以用小剂量。
发一点烧，可能是酥饼自身在抵抗inflammation。就不用steroid。
或者是如果发高烧,而且确定有inflammation，那可以用小剂量steroid。

stimulate inflammation in cells，然后看steroid对一些细胞因子基因表达的抑制作
用。现在问题是应该先IL-1 stimulate inflammation，在用steroid treat细胞呢。还
是先用drug treat细胞，在用IL-1stimulate 细胞。我看有一些paper用后者，请教一
下为什么啊？正常在临床中的程序不是应该先有炎症在用药物治疗的吗？谢谢！ |

when taking antihistamine drug, such as sleepy. My personal expereince
is Nasal steroid drugs work much better than antihistamine drugs. But long-
term
use of nasal steroid is not good for health as well. A good solution may be
the combination of these two : antihistamine + nasal steroid, and by doing
so
you can reduce the dose by half for each medicine.

before the allergy season. These are available OTC
- Nasal steroid spray, you can use fluticasone or nasonex. These need
prescription.
- For itchy eye, you may need an anti-histamine eye drop. Zaditor is the
only one available as OTC. Most of the eye drops are lubricants, and they
simply don't work. For severe symptom, you will need an ophthalmologist
visit for steroids. Steroids in the eye has a lot more adverse effe |

Claritin, Allergra, Zyrtec are all 2nd generation anti-histamine, which
have less drowsiness compared to 1st generation anti-histamine such as
Benadryl.
Zaditor is the only OTC anti-histamine eye drop that I am aware of.
There are others that require prescription.
More severe symptoms may require local steroid treatment, including
nasal spray (nasonex, fluticasone) and eye drops. Nasal steroid spray |

treatment are available over the counter. Besides 2nd generation anti-

that contains anti-histamine.
One thing you cannot get OTC is nasal spray. Steroid nasal spray such as
Fluticasone, Nasonex are very effective and safe (don't be scared by steroid

发帖数: 613 | 34 现在想起来还很后怕，我家15个月大的宝宝当时的血小板降低到2K,正常值是15万，基
本上就等于没有。如果当时摔倒脑袋，有很大的几率会导致大脑出血。
没在版上看到过妈妈们讨论这个，所以我想写出来，让大家能够有点了解。
这个病的中文名字叫做突发性血小板降低性紫癜，英文名叫做ITP。主要的症状就是皮
肤下面出小红点，而且容易发生青色的或者紫色的淤痕。
我家宝宝之前感冒了3个星期，之前尽管流鼻涕，咳嗽，但精神状态超好，我们大人也
就没大注意，心想去了医院也是让回家自己扛着。后来他咳嗽到晚上经常被自己咳醒，
有时候还会咳到呕吐，我们这才去了医院，果真，什么药都没给，只说是virus，就给
打发回来了。
之后一个星期，感冒更严重了，我们又打电话到儿医那里，儿医竟然见都没见我们，就
给我们开了10天的阿莫西林，到现在我们还觉得，这个抗生素也许是原因之一。
抗生素吃了5天，因为一直拉肚子，小宝状态好转，我们就停了药。没想到过了两天，
高烧102.4，正好是圣诞节，打电话给医生，告诉我们小孩子经常发烧，吃泰诺降温，
阿莫西邻要继续吃（美国儿医真是省事啊）。之后几天，我们就发现宝宝皮肤上长出很

宝宝出生时可以自己呼吸，但NICU怕宝宝累所以当晚给了breathing tube帮BB呼吸。 我出院当天就给换了个小型的breathing support tube。
老公今天带了我pump的奶给BB，说宝宝又被换了大的breathing tube， nurse说宝宝自己呼吸累了有时会忘记呼吸 （preemie 常见）， 还给吊多一个caffine的点滴，帮助提醒大脑要记的呼吸=( 摆IV的spot还由脚换到手上， 又多了几个bandaid 的地方， 听了真心疼。 可喜的是BB的奶量又加了， 由9CC 变成18/20CC。 希望宝宝要乖乖，健康成长，快点可以回家。 妈妈决定过几天去看你，等不了做完月子了。 求祝福！

steroid去，怎么就不会让人家用点claritin或什么化痰药清除人家喉咙里的痰液? 用
那些个steroids有用么?人家这不是正在发愁为啥这些个nebulizer, spacer, steroid
上了，孩子还是在么呼鲁呼鲁么
就算这不是细菌引起的，是病毒引起的，用nebulizer, space, pulmicort or
whatever对症么

's face.
rule of thumb,if you use steroid cream twice a day for 3 days, no
improvement, stop. probably it is something else other than eczema or
contact dermatitis. it is better to be safe. because long term topical
steroid on face can have bad outcome. |

期喷，喷一次两次不行的，长期需要几个月，半年，一年的。长期服用steroids也就是

药，并不治病，但是是救命的。
我老二一岁的时候，每次哮喘去ER，口服激素，喷Albuterol，大概1个月连续发作了3
次，就让长期服用激素了。
国内哮喘的定义跟美国不同，近些年才跟美国靠拢了。美国哮喘范围光多了，不怕。 |

there is no change in aetna policy at all. Yes, they might make it more
difficult to approve prior auth. but they are no denying acthar therapy

e only know the partial truth about the steroid usage in baseball. I would n

见影。
但是，必须要确认仅仅是dose，而非其他病原体大量复制的原因。因为steroid只有消
炎和增加红血球等作用，却不能杀死病原体。如果有潜在疾病没有发现，一味用
steroid，不附加其他药物，可能会适得其反。 |

My vet told me to try other thing first when pipi has allergy before put him
on steroid. Long term steroid is very bad even steroid usage one time only clear the symptom, not the cause.
cefpodoxime is a 头胞medication which I don't think it is appropriate in his
case. Pipi's doctor gave him a triple anti bacterial-fungal ear drop which
is like 40 dollars. pipi got ear infection again, we just called the vet
