事情是这样子的。今天偶然看到王垠在其个人博客上写的一篇《微软的秘密离职协议》
，觉得很有意思，这哥们儿更有意思。
相信很多人对王垠很陌生，也相信很多人对他并不陌生，这位才华逼人、傲气也同样逼
人的天才在其所在的圈子里还是挺有名气的。早在2003年，他就因发表《完全用Linux
工作》、《写给支持和反对<完全用linux工作>的人们》，痛陈Windows弊端、宣扬
Linux而出名。
他的光辉事迹，还包括被保送清华大学计算机系软件所硕博连读，然后在清华大学、康
奈尔大学、印第安纳大学伯明顿分校读博期间三次退学，他认为他的“博士生涯”已经
帮助他找到了比博士学位更重要的东西。
王垠每次都会写一篇文章来宣布自己退学：
2005年9月22日在水木社区BLOG上发表了《清华梦的粉碎--写给清华大学的退学申请》
明确要求退学，痛斥国内高等教育弊端；
2008年发表《Cornell感受》并从康奈尔大学退学，到印第安纳大学伯明顿分校（IUB）
