爽脆。
也就是说你不是撕段了某根纤维，而是根据蔬菜里纤维群的分布，把菜叶分开的。
这个不是单位面积断多少跟纤维的问题，而是要尽量保持原来蔬菜结构的问题。
打个比方，就象以一个复杂的有四级结构的蛋白质，你一刀下去，结果肽链的backbone
被切断了，整个蛋白的结构都散掉了，蛋白质变性了。如果你用手撕，结果是每个
subunit内部比较结实，结果你只是把一个复杂蛋白按照其组成的肽链数撕成了很多个
subunit，但每个subunit的蛋白结构还在，蛋白没有变性。 |

search if DiscoverRx has already made the corresponding cell line. That
assay can give you sig/background=10. Internalized GPCR (tagged small
subunit of beta-gal) collocalized with endosome anchored marker protein (
tagged with large subunit of beta-gal) will boost beta-Gal activity. I have
tried this assay. once you have the stable cell line, the protocol is very
simple and the result is very potent. |

功能未知，但是之前已经有人做了一些localization的实验，在2篇plant cell上都有
提到某个subunit的localization，都是GFP fusion的方法（吐槽一下），这也是他们
的major concern之一，localization和inter interaction network已经有人发表了（
另外一个就是fusion protein approach）。我觉得相对functional mechanism （>10
图，任何一个subunit的function之前都完全未知），localization （1个图）和
Interaction network (1个图)只是枝节，我打算直接把localization放supplemental
，cite papers了。 |

问题
而是一个类似于scientific misconduct的问题
因为这年头做结构的也要讲一个完整的故事（不然JBC都不收），问题是好不容易解出
来的结构并不一定都有那么多insight into the mechanism of xxx，或者说一时半会
儿看不出来。很多时候这就逼得结构生物学家赶鸭子上架，比如看到一个磷酸化位点就
敢说这个是调控的关键，也不顾（其实是没顾过来）跟biochem的数据是不是吻合。
至于recombinant是不是跟endogenous一样的问题，这当然不能完全证实或证伪。但我
想现在有不少关于表达recombinant multi-subunit complex的文章，这么大的复合体
（十几甚至几十个subunits，几个MegaDa的大小）都能被成功表达，活性或者功能都能
跟endogenous的一样，这已经很能说明recombinant蛋白的有效性了。 |

have been identified as responsible for knockdown resistance to
deltamethrin in bed bugs. One study found that 88% of bed bug populations in
the US had one, the other, or both mutations, meaning that deltamethrin
resistance among bed bugs is currently making this insecticide obsolete.

看班上很多同学问关于唐筛的问题，所以简单介绍一下。比较笼统，更详细的问题请提

目前的唐氏筛查试验有两个，一个是在first trimester做的，一个是在second
trimester做的。
First trimester screening包括三个检测：
抽血查free-beta hCG和PAPP-A，外加一个B超检查的NT。
Second trimester screening包括4个检查，都是抽血查的：
AFP， hCG， uE3，和inhibin，因此又叫Quad test。
怀孕后，这两套测试都可以用来筛查染色体畸形，主要是21三体（Down’s Syndrome，唐氏综合症），18三体（Edwards Syndrom，爱德华氏综合症），这两种畸形。CDC在2006年发表的统计显示，21三体的出生率为1/733（即万分之13.65），18... 阅读全帖 |

貌似结合first trimester combined screening (blood test+ NT)和second
trimester screening 是准确率最高的，96%，全称叫fully integrated screening 。
只验血不做NT叫做serum integrated screening, 88%。

期發現，病患从2岁开始全身长期淤青，一个小伤口就会出血不止，身体稍微跳动一下
，就如遭强烈撞击，体内就会出血。
今年五月，朋友的女兒因不小心跌倒導致腦內出血，及時做了一次腦部手術。目前這種
病在中國非常罕見，暫時沒有完善的治療手段。我朋友現在非常擔心，她想知道在美國
