。受访6人全部表示，老公倾向于minivan，老婆倾向于SUV。最后买了什么，决定因素
很复杂。有的是理性决定，有的是老公怕老婆吧，我猜。
就说我们的经历吧－－绝对理性决定。
之前大体看了下，发现Dodge Caravan和Chrysler Town & Country不如Sienna和
Odyssey

的。

minivan和suv的比较如下：
minivan 我最喜欢的其实就是那个滑动门，的确方便省空间，suv没有，
其次，minivan省油，价格便宜
之所以买suburban，最大的考虑是安全性，车上有老有小，万一和车碰撞，结实。油耗
的确大些，但是要结实的车就没办法避免油耗，好在suburban可以加87号油。
另外，空间上suburban足够了，宽敞舒服，不会亚于minivan，视野上也不错，比
minivan高，我喜欢高的视野。
其实，还有很重要的一点是，我老公拒绝开minivan。 |

所以不管前面两排的legroom多大，第三排的legroom都只有34.5"
至于第三排座位后面的cargo空间，两个差不多，
但是最大Cargo空间，odyssey有148.5 cu.ft，而Suburban只有121.1 cu.ft.
从尺寸上来说，odyssey长202.9" , Suburban长224.0"，长了半米多。
Suburban可是比Odyssey大了一个级别，但内部空间还是没有优势。
SUV和minivan各有各的用途，谁也没法淘汰谁。 |

受能力。如果suburban和suburban以small overlap的方式相撞，结果肯定都很惨。
好在路上的suburban比较少，更多的是皮薄馅大的日本车和minivan。这些车更轻
bumper更软，在实战中给suburban施加的力远小于撞墙测试的力。另一方面，测试的速
度大约是40mph，实战中往往是80mph（两车各以40mph对撞），所以小车结果经常比碰

注重的主要是外观，第三排空间和驾驶感受。以下是按试驾先后顺序排列
Tahoe/Suburban: 美式大suv的标杆，我大学时候坐过朋友上一代的tahoe，当时感觉是
坐过的最滑顺的车，真的能体会到什么叫作butter smooth，所以这次也是首选。新版
的tahoe/suburban兄弟俩从外观到内饰基本一模一样，唯一的区别是suburban比tahoe
更长了一些。外观上两个都是巨无霸型的，站在车头边上感觉hood都快到肩膀了，很有
压迫感:). 内饰我挺喜欢，皮椅以及缝线部分在美车里绝对算做的考究的，尤其喜欢驾
驶座中间的那一大块储物箱，开车时放手肘非常舒服。驾驶起来中规中矩，转完时的侧
倾没有想象中的大，v8的提速不是很好但也不算差，suspension调教的很舒服，过坑啥
的都很有信心，卡车感实足（卡车感在我这里是褒义，就是那种很平稳滑顺的感觉）。
但如果不是憋屈的第三排，我估计已经下单了。。。我试驾的还是第二排有captain

发帖数: 401 | 29 我们为了这次Road trip，在好几个月前就开始做准备工作。大个子没少捣腾他的
Suburban，我也在我的摄影器材上下了不少功夫。
大个子n辆车里，我最喜欢的应该是这辆89年的suburban了，因为它最有用，是我们的
专用camping truck。我们把Suburban的后排椅子全部拆掉，用木板作了一个平台，上
面安放了个full size的mattress，所以睡起觉来和在家里差不多。平台下面分了好几
隔，用来放修车的工具，宿营的桌子椅子，做饭用的所有器材，还有我的三脚架，我们
的鞋子以及杂物等等。然后在原来后排坐位的地方又搭了一个二层小平台，平台下放了
我的摄影包，这样就保证不会被压了。平台的一边放了冰箱（大个子嫌cooler经常要买
冰太麻烦，于是从craig's list上买了个二手的12v冰箱装在车里），另一边就用来堆
平时要穿的衣服以及路上要吃的零食等等。除了内部装修之外，大个子还给Suburban进
行了体检，换了好些个大大小小的零部件，总之我们要在这89年的老车里生活两周啊，
怎么也要有基本的舒适和性能保障才行啊。

她的英文版是要保持Plano suburban化，suburban一词是她的竞选口号的关键词。而在
她的中文版里，居然一句都没提，反而是大谈特谈种族因素。事实上，她的中文版里根
本没有出现竞选口号。这种肆无忌惮把华人和其他族群人区别对待的竞选策略，真的是
素质很低。
支持她的人别试图狡辩她在中文里表达的类似的意思，如果她认为suburban这个词华人
听不懂，而她又口口声声号称要替华人发声，做华人代表。那是不是应该换个普通华人
能理解的口号呢？起个No More Condo in Plano，或者Make Plano SD Great Again一
类的口号很难吗？

Sequoia:
comfort, especially 2nd and 3rd row.
more advanced technology, 32 valves vs 16 valves of Suburban.
Independent rear suspension.
Suburban:
Solid frame, check the thickness of frame metal. almost doubled than Sequoia.
Solid ride. Sometime Sequoia feels out of control (on same road).
gas mileage 21 vs sequoia 18 on high way (only consider 5.7 l, 4.6l is still
too young)

Suburban in recent years.
Sequoia has a slipping Transmission up to 2009 model year (5.7l ). 2010 and
2011 still use the same transmission. It is hard to tell that it has been
fixed.
I don't consider 4.6l engine. It is a re-designed 4.7 version, which has lot
problems. The matched transmission is just an extra gear on 5-sp version.
Suburban has problem on its 4-sp transmission before. This transmission

ladies. The dealer told me how sturdy the "truck" is, and its bumpers are
designed for 10MPH bump (cars' cracks at 5MPH bump), etc, etc. You may
notice that suburban is the frequently used vehicles for FBI/CIAs special
agents in action movies (and on NYC streets as well). That says something

Then the choice is only Suburban or Yukon XL, full size 3rd row.
But these cars are as long as a full size van, so measure your garage first.
Some family garages are not deep enough to park Suburban. I rode in a
Suburban 3rd row over 10 years ago, comfortable fullsize seating. |

除了导航、DVD、Power running board,其它都配了, $42k before tax
目前开的是2004 Durango 5.7 HEMI，觉着小了些，尤其是第三排立起来后，cargo空间
不够。
新车要求要比Durango大，第三排坐大人要舒服，第三排后的cargo空间要大，AWD,能拖
7000lbs以上。日车不考虑。
这样一下来只有加长SUV了。Suburban和Expeditoin EL
Suburban一直是我的dream car,但试了之后实在爱不起来。三排太奇怪了，折叠后不平
，高起一个台阶，也十分不舒服。头靠枕只能升起一点点，靠不到头，实在别扭。估计
给小孩设计的。Suburban也贵一些，没有啥discount,配制好的都要5w以上。
决定了Expedition EL之后，花了一周时间，专门找2012的存货。联系方圆200miles的
dealer,定下来后周末提车。
开了170迈开回来，平均MPG 16，磨合期，这么大的车，早有心理准备。好在油箱33gal

这个级别的车，只要不陷入泥地，四驱用处不大。
车子的重量和轮胎宽度放在那里，打滑的可能性小。
我嫌弃Suburban有点笨重，mpg也实在有点难看。
另外，Escalade为什么不采用Suburban为原型？
那么可以肯定gmc的顶级车型Escalade考虑Denali为原型而不是suburban一定经过通盘
考虑的，所以我会选择Denali
另外这个级别的车里，能够和Denali 和Escalade竞争的只有ford 的Expendition和
Navigation。
ford的信价比高！但排量小了点，内装修也不如gmc。

$328/week for a suburban. It is even cheaper than a minivan ($331/week).
suburban has more cargo room than a minivan.
3rd row seats of a minivan or suburban are not comfortable for long trip.
If you really want to be comfortable, get a ford E-series 12 or 15 passenger
van. |

1. 如果full size SUV第三排想舒服得坐两个成年人，基本无脑就两个选择：Suburban
, GL 450。本身对Escalade，新Q7，新XC90还给予厚望，结果试了一下这三个的第三排
，然后就没有然后了。尤其是Escalade，第三排简直令人发指，稍微大点儿的小孩子坐
都是马扎儿。XC90如果把第二排往前推的话，legroom还说得过去，不过稍微高一些的
（1m8）就是蹲马扎儿了。当场见到一个小孩子钻到Q7的第三排，马上叫唤：too tight
, dad, I don't like it....
2. 以前从来没摸过BBA的敞篷, i.e., SLK，A5和BMW 4，幻想中那叫个高大上，结果今
天一坐，我去....触手可及之处全是塑料啊，这和我2万的camry的内饰有啥大区别啊。
另外看了新的野马敞篷，觉得物有所值。另外心中的大草给拔了，Boxster gts，也太
娘气了....我很难相信直男喜欢那种样子的....
3. 不得不说SL 550用料还算是厚道的。BMW 7 确实高大上。

发帖数: 5329 | 48 先说说需求，5口之家2大3小，3小都要car seat/booster。考虑可能长途旅行，所以老
大或大人能长时间第三排坐是必须的。另外，既然是长途旅行，小孩天天得洗澡，所以
至少要有1-2个158行李箱的空间是必须的。另外，夏天出行，第2-3排坐要有独立的出
风口和调温器。这些要求都是很合理的吧。
个人之前开车经验，更喜欢SUV，但也没办法的话也可以minivan。
T家看了sienna, sequoia
H家看了Pilot, Odyssey
C家今天看了Traverse, Tahoe, suburban，suburban就是加长的Tahoe.
J家看过大切。
T家：两个基本都符合要求，sequoia最后的空间稍微有点小，但基本够用。不多说。
H家：Pilot空间不够排除，Odyssey每个细节都设计的不错，和sienna比我更满意
Odyssey，但Odyssey相比较sienna而言，最后一排的窗子不能打开是个最大的不满意。
C家两辆SUV，Tahoe没什么好说的，最后的空间小得吓人，直接排除。suburban专门在
