EDA软件，说是进去会让做多线程大数据量处理。 A家的offer是暑假实习后就拿到了，
十月份的时候签了offer letter。
现在的情况是，LD还在local读phd，还需要两年毕业吧，毕业以后肯定是不会留local
需要relocation，所以我们考虑的是如果真是为了将来好，异地两年也只能忍忍了。
synopsys家的好处是答应去了等三个月就开始给办绿卡，而且这两年也不需要跟领导异
地了。A家给的是SDE1，按现在的政策是办不了绿卡的，但是A家的background将来重新
找工作应该会容易很多吧？
请问版上的大人们，这两家公司将来换工作哪个容易些呢？尤其是synopsys这种做硬件
IC design的软件，虽然主要用的是Unix 和c++，会不会对两年后换工作有限制。然后
听人说早申请绿卡早好，但是申请绿卡期间最好不要换工作了，这样的话，synopsys家
的绿卡优势好像也没有什么了。而且如果选synopsys的话，A家的签了offer letter再

front end, Cadence is good at backend(Place Route,simulator).
Now, cadence has bought Ambit, so Cadence's would provide

CAD公司: Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics
大的Semiconductor公司的in-house EDA: IBM, Intel(一般不招中国人), Sun(现在是
Oracle)等。这些公司做的比较超前，Synopsys和Cadence一般不能完全满足他们的需求，他们需要有自己的设计工具。
CAD感觉市场有些饱和, 以后的前景很难说。现在找工作还可以，不过很多人都想着转行
去市场更大一些的行业。转行的话就是一边硬件一边软件。工业界CAD归根结底是做软件的，所以他们对编程的要求也比较高，Synopsys和Cadence的面试题目跟jobhunting版成天讨论的算法和数据结构题风格基本是一样的。PhD期间做的东西往往是提出一些新的电路设计和仿真的理念，然后用C/C++ implement一下。 |

TI做in
下就业情况肯定不如一般的做Application的软件公司，不过大公司里面肯定是需要这
样的职位，否则他们新的技术没法仿真没法做下去，因为Synopsys/Cadence/Mentor能
提供的工具肯定是要比新技术
面互相拆台，不太会扩大市场面和赚钱。现在只有最保守的Synopsys境况比较好，其他
几个情况都不太乐观。后面EDA要解决的问题越来越难，需要对foundry有比较深入的了
解才行，所以startup也
给客户解决的问题太多，你需要对电路里面各种effect都要非常清楚才能做出好的仿真
结果，里面如何计算的模型都要你来建，而且要根据technology的更新不断推出新的准
确的又不耗时的model, 然后你还要做码工把这些全部用 |

NVDA, Sandisk。做硬件比做EDA市场大职位多成长快，本专业跳槽地方多。
硬件公司能比Synopsys给的好的还是挺多的。要说跳互联网，Synopsys跳
去google跟Marvell跳去google的途径一模一样，都是刷题刷出来的, 不会
有什么区别。
不过如果想安稳一些不想一年就跳，就去1。觉得想迟早彻底跳出电路这个领域，也选1
，短期的钱多也是多。

四月初被Marvell的一個很多台灣人的組拒了+被Synopsis拒了(有個老印問很多難題)
當下萬念俱灰 準備刷題找碼工的缺
四月中突然拿到O的offer 很開心的就把其他pending的interview拒了 果斷從之

接二连三的悬疑暴力，忍不住上imdb看synopsis，对后面的凶杀做好心理准备才敢看下
去……上一次看到一半去看synopsis的是老版Blade Runner……
《Get Out》故事奇巧，悬念、摄影、音乐都配合完美，是个精彩的恐怖片。不过剧情
其实有点别扭。男主之前的所有被做手术的黑人，都是取其强健体魄。这符合白人的生
命永恒需求，因为白人的头脑是这些强健体魄的主宰。而男主未完成的最后一个手术，
是取其大脑。将得到永恒生命的是男主，不是白人。应该被催眠的不是男主，而是白人
，因为不再需要的是白人的大脑。而白人显然不是要完全放弃自己的大脑，只是想要男
主大脑中控制艺术感觉的部分。所以这个手术和之前的手术完全不是一个类型的，而是
更上一层楼，是两个大脑的不同部分的嫁接……这是剧情无法自圆其说的一大破绽。
除了这个主要破绽，故事结尾男主的连环杀人部分是不是太过凶残了点？男主当然是出
于无奈和自卫，编剧也想尽量弄成各种巧合。但用鹿角、水果刀等日常用品准确利落地

今天在家读了一本书《Two Kisses for Maddy》，昨天在b&n看到这本新上市的书，看
完synopsis以后决定买了。最近我比较喜欢读memoir，因为真人真事总是有其真实性，
这本书很感人也比较伤感，但是结尾很好。现实生活是残酷无情的，我们迎接现实的方
法就是学会如何去处理它，看这本书的同时我还在读一本romantic fiction，相比之下
简直就是平淡无味儿，放弃！有空大家读读memoir吧。

。所有智慧文学都是诗歌，但并非所有诗歌都是智慧文学。圣经的智慧文学有两种：一
种是箴言文学(proverbial literature)，正如箴言书。箴言或格言是普遍的真理，建

VHDL是最简单的了.现在常用的硬件设计语言大概就VHDL和Verilog
两种,我个人觉得verilog更简明,更好学,但基本上都和计算机语言
例如C差不多,比较好上手.然后就是用Veilog_XL(CADENCE)或者VSS
(SYNOPSYS)进行逻辑模拟验证逻辑功能,之后还可以利用SYNOPSYS
的综合工具综合成网表,然后再自动布局布线成版图,这属于半定制
的设计.另外有了VHDL语言对电路的描述以后好象还可以用自动工具
生成FPGA,这个我没有做过,不知道.
要是自己从版图入手设计就很烦了,一个小电路画起来也是非常费劲
的,所以有些公司里有一帮人专门画一些小单元电路,进行建库,另
一帮人进行高层设计,然后自动用这些库来生成版图.
Cadence是一个很大的工具,学会用其中一种功能不难,要想面面俱到,
是需要时间的. |

In house EDA是在减小而不是增大的趋势。而且奇怪的是，尽管in house的EDA
outsource到外面了，Cadence和Synopsys还赚不到什么钱。Synopsys境况稍微好一些，
Cadence, Mentor和Magma一律都是赔钱，跟他们的客户业绩没法比。连Freescale
这种曾经境况很差的design house现在都开始赚钱了，EDA总体上还是在赔，business
model有问题没办法。这个也是说明赚不赚钱不在于技术是不是核心，更重要的是
这个行业的business model, 把自己放在一个什么位置，客户群是哪些这些比所谓
的核心这种虚无的词重要多了。比如软件里面facebook现在很赚钱，是因为他们
技术很核心么？中国一开始做IC以fab为主我觉得是正确的，因为有fab才能有产品。
而且fab的组建是长线的。像楼住说的那种情况，所谓的禁运，你只要有fab即便设计的不是
很好，但是总能生产出勉强能用的产品来。像美国的那些fabless design公司 |

少有三十年,
国人一定不服气. 那好, 让我们来比较一下国人最引以为自豪的”华为” 与Cisco
Systems 吧.
没错, 华为占领了美国以外的networking市场. 华为与Cisco Systems好比在唱对台戏,
由于
华为的演员工资低, 华为的戏票可以卖得便宜一点. 但是, 但是, Cisco Systems的戏
台子是紮
紮实实的用自家的技术和材料搭起来的, 而华为的戏台子没有一块台板不是从人家那里
买的. 人家只
要抽掉几块台板或锯掉一二个台柱子, 华为就会摔到台底下(三十年前) 的烂泥坑里去.
让我们来抽
