看了些网上的评价，好像portland的口碑还不错，居然好几次被评为best city in US
，大致城市干净生活惬意。
但今天趁着出差的机会在portland转了一转，好像一点也没有这种感觉，或者是因为雨
天？还是在陌生地方莫名地失落？不知道大家刚过来时会不会有这种感觉？现在又觉得
这边咋样呢？
另外有几个问题请教大家：
1、从国内过来portland是不是都得转机？如果是老人过来有没有人直飞然后跑seattle
去接机？
2、这里中国人聚集的区域大概在那些街道？
3、花粉过敏严重吗？我和LD在湾区3、4月份都会过敏，这里这么多雨是不是好些？
4、Beaverton-Hillsboro都有哪些华人超市？今天去百佳看了下还不错，基本和湾区的
大华接近了，但那个什么Manila的根本就是一小卖部嘛~~
5、如果喜欢cycling和Hiking，这边算不算很理想的地方？

Hillsboro。
最近在看房子，好像synopsys附近的appartment还蛮多的，初步决定在公司对面A和稍
远的B处租。
A的好处是离公司近，B好像附近蛮多商店，还有个Magnolia Park看起来好像比较适合
我3岁的娃。
有熟悉这一带的朋友吗？想问下这一带有没有比较适合3岁宝宝经常玩的公园？治安应
该都还OK吧？
另大家有实惠的汽车保险Agent也顺便推荐一个吧。 |

发帖数: 4495 | 15 10个million就是25个工程师2年的支出，如果50个人年够做一颗asic的话，而且人工是
主要成本的话，基本上就是double cost了。要是市场上的asic价格增加100%的话，很
显然销量要减少，逼得大家转向其他offer.
和你的想法一样，我觉得小的半导体公司生存空间被挤压，最好的exit，就是approve
自己的idea后，被大公司accquire。总之，就是越通用成功率越高，象卖IP的公司会很
好，对设计和生产都有好处，象ARM, MIPS和Synopsis买的Virage. |

的人也学不到啥。用公司的黑话说，就是不具备strategic importance。说白了就
是叫你不要精工细作，弄出一玩意儿凑合了事。最好外包算了。这种环境下，想学好
都难。但如果强度上去了，就不一样了。比如facebook/google什么的，内部工具
一大堆。其中设计分布计算，超大流量处理，系统扩展什么的，好多都能抓住眼球。
做那些软件和架构程序猿也是各个会议的抢手货。 |
