techniques，但是研究区域和具体应用topics不一样。请问在30-40分钟内，应该选哪
个research presentation topic好些？该教职强调本领域的quantitative techniques
及其应用。考虑到该学校的位置，我个人认为博士论文的研究比较相关（在cover
letter的future research里提的4点中的前3点与此相关），但只用了最基本technique
，而且现在好几年没有做了。
1）只选博士论文（发了1篇文章），有些弱。
2）如果只选后来做的内容（有2篇一作文章），讲的具体的话，30多分钟也可以。
Techniques用的多些。
3）如果两个都选，怎么衔接？可以用techniques的应用总括？

最后比Deisseroth的晚了一年才发表。
在2004年底潘就做出了和Deisseroth几乎一样的文章，除了用的细胞略微不同：他做的
神经细胞是从视网膜分离的，而Deisseroth 做的神经细胞是从大脑分离的。然后他把
文章陆续投向Nature, Nature Neuroscience,Journal of Neuroscience，却统统遭到
了拒稿。然后大半年之后，也就是2005年8月份，Deisseroth 的文章发表在Nature
Neuroscience上。潘得知之后，心都凉了。

骑驴找马6个月，拒过别人，更多的是被别人拒。。。
昨天签了offer。很喜欢的职位和公司，工资也满意。唯一的小遗憾，差不多1000mile
的relocation，从东部大城市搬到南方小农村。不过考虑到有回祖国出差的机会，这点
小遗憾也就抵消了。
然后现在就是准备做background check, drug screen, H1B transfer和搬家了。祝我
一切顺利吧。
心情很复杂：小兴奋，小向往，小焦虑，小惆怅。。。

three-step sandwich procedure (e.g., weakness question):
(1) Repeat
(2) Respond
(3) Redirect
(1) Repeat:
"It is an important/interesting/... question, thanks for bringing it up. So
you are asking ...., is it right?". After the positive response:
(2) Respond (the key part of the answer) using three parts: what it is, why
it is, and how you deal with it. Let me use a severe weakness as an example
