但还是喜欢中文，二维语言，各种牙造词有逻辑，一看就明白。
英文里面这些词单拿出来第一次看到没人知道他们通通是某种teeth。
这一点其实很重要。楼主就是觉得 tusks 压根不是teeth才会理解为
没有獠牙的母象干脆没有牙。

女儿今年10岁半，牙齿是那种“地包天”类型，就是上面牙齿咬合时在里面。 女儿牙
齿算长得快的，只剩一个baby teeth， 最近看了两个orthodontist，两个人都主张先
用expander将upper jaw 撑一下，但后续treatments不同：
一个主张expander的同时加6个上面牙齿的brace，疗程大约一年，然后等3年左右再用
full brace矫正。他说等3年再用full brace的原因因为孩子的牙齿还在长，等3年牙齿
固定了再用final full brace。 他还说如果第一个expander效果不好还要用second
expander，另外矫正不好的话还会要动jaw的手术。第一个疗程（expander+6个牙齿

买的时候请记住：teeth越多的，代表剪下来的越少，新手买teeth多的比较不容易

２）记住：慢慢剪，千万不要图快。剪得越慢，每次剪得越少，越不容易出错。
３）后面的怎么剪？
我自己有个笨办法：我有个比较大的香蕉夾。我会先把头发打湿，全部梳通
（很重要！至少梳5次，保证全部梳通），再把全部的头发往前梳，头低下来，再
梳通。然后拿香蕉夾固定在头发末端正中的地方，剪平了就行了，等你把头发往后
梳回去的时候，会有层次的。

如果时间很短，我想是简单的，感染可能性小，医生不给抗生素也是可以的。
如果是fully/partially embeded wisdom teeth,那就麻烦得多，也可以开抗生素。
拔牙之后，注意保持清洁，温盐水漱口。
为什么要implant？ 你的牙已经不能root canal加crown了？

. It turned out to be a big mistake. There is a reason being cheap. You pay
a little but you get way better services. Plus I do believe their charge is
very reasonable. Give you an example, you can save a teeth by paying some
copay instead you lose a teeth without copay. There is a big difference
between them.

dentists for opinions, all suggested surgery with general anesthesia. We
didn't do that because she didn't feel pain from the cavity, our thoughts

Milpitas, phone 408 262 4434). Pretty good.
The cost is over $1000. With 20% co-pay, I paid around $250.
My problem is the gum infection with no obvious reason. After check, there
is no problem with the teeth. The dentist eventually have to open the
infected area (gum) and cleaned up the tar build-up around the teeth (normal
deep clean won't be able to go that deep).
After the surgery, nor everything is normal. |

several teeth.
We obtained 2nd opinion from my dentist. He said it is not possible to feel
the pain based on the cavity and x-ray. If the teeth are taken good care of,
it will last until new ones. So we did not do anything, and my kid is fine.
It seems the "Pediatric Dentistry" are more aggressive, and recommend more
procedures. Get the 2nd opinion from an adult dentist. |

参见具体policy。健康保险如无明文提到exception，一般可以认为不报。看病之
前，自学一下保险手册的关键条款（有生命危险或疼得天昏地暗者除外）。
2. 看牙咋省钱？
有保险的考虑适当拖延。到下一年可以用新报销额度。
自费买dental insurance：一般premium几百/年，一年最多报销两千，外加
waiting period，所以不一定合算。临时报佛脚的情况就不要考虑了。
dental discount plan：在参加计划的诊所可以立刻打折。比如Aetna Advantage
Dental。
收入确实低的，在本地找免费或low cost诊所。这些地方可能有eligibility要求
，很多只提供有限服务。
去附近的dental school clinic，给学生做小白鼠。
