親自到irs辦公室申請itin並且交稅表，目前還沒收到irs的itin，但先收到紐約州寄的
temporary tax identification number，這樣是要等收到itin並且通知紐約州，才會
退州稅是嗎？ |

发帖数: 77 | 3 今天刚去dc 申请了去加拿大的temporary visa 准备过去签f1,一切还算顺利。大概情
况如下：
1. 早晨大概11点左右进入加拿大大使馆，就在mall附近，不难找。如果自己开车去的
同志们可以在附近的街道上找到2-hour parking的meter表，有些dime, nickle,
quarter都认，有些不是 ，投之前一定看清楚;)
在此，大城市的路况复杂，我们这种小town过去的完全依靠gps。
2.早上收材料的时间是8-12点。一mm在窗口内收材料，没有面签。交了材料后你可以出
去逛博物馆，大使馆对面就是艺术博物馆；当然也可以就在大厅等着叫你拿回材料。如
果你出去逛，那要么在12点之前回到大使馆，要么就2点以后再回去取，因为12点以后
大厅关闭，不让进人。
我们是早晨11点左右交的材料，下午2点以后去取的签证，所以同志们可以自己安排时
间，不用担心：）

本人在LA，急需加拿大签证去那儿工作面试，本来可以去LA的加拿大领馆提交
temporary visit的签证申请。结果LA加拿大领馆的网页实在做得很迷惑人，在点击了
准备下载申请表格的那个link后被带到了这个网页http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp,网页的最上方讲居然还可以online提交申请而且说很快。 因为心里想快些拿到签证，就阴差阳错用了这个online的方法，过程是顺利，一切都是扫描document上传包括passport都是。结果提交了以后才发现这个online方法实际上应该是提供给已经在canada境内的人申请visa用的，所以处理时间是暴长，网页上说是要92天。（这儿说一下他们网站恶心的地方是，这个92天处理时间的link在online申请之前以及过程都没有出现过，一直到结束提交了后才出现，所以我才会中招选择了这个online方法）。92天实在等不起了，所以我第二天里面就跑到LA的加拿大领馆去要求帮助我取消之前申请然后重新申请，结果那些人... 阅读全帖 |

重寄了，不过8月之前很难收到了。我8月份只能用OPT工作，现在用CPT。USCIS 给了我
个USCIS Account Number (A-number)。
请问有没有电子版或者temporary的EAD或者什么其他方式，可以让我给公司一个交代，
在收到EAD之前还能工作？

4年。是不是？
但没有SSN的H4，F2驾照上有Temporary字样，求确认。
中国从今年1月1日开始，所有有临时字样的国外驾照都不能不通过路考换中国驾照了。 |

因为公司的政策规定，报销的temp housing的费用需要有收据，也不能用于抵扣long-
term housing的租金。所以我估计是需要找那种furnished的short-term lease.公司举
了两个例子比如hotel或者air bnb那种都可以。
我想找的short-term housing的理想位置在mountain view，最远不超过Palo Alto或者
Sunnyvale. 最好是在Cherry Chase Elementary School或者Herbert Hoover
Elementary School的学区范围里。而且希望是2 bedroom或者以上。
觉得真是住酒店也有点太奢侈了，所以碰碰运气看版上有没有朋友正好有能提供的。请
