遍，时而发出嘎吱的声音。等天终于亮了，斗志也便消失，虽然家里依旧满目疮痍
，活象战场。洗个澡，直接逃至冷气盎然的办公室。
前两天偶然读到一篇名叫《梭罗》的散文，是爱默生Ralph Waldo Emerson从他致
给Thorough的悼词扩写而成，运气很好的是，张爱玲翻译。那本散文集里选了
Emerson两个文章，另一个就难看得很，再次现身说法翻译者之重要性。这篇散文
委实精彩，相信不独是张爱玲的能耐。一方面Thorough本身是个故事性很强的人物
，尤其Emerson作为其好友，了解得透彻就能描述得道地，加上是悼词改写，看了
不感动是不行的。
想起我最早得知Thorough这个人物，还是从国内的《读者文摘》杂志上看见关于《
瓦尔登湖》的介绍开始的，就是著名的那段“很久以前我丢失了一只猎犬，还有一
只会歌唱的斑鸠鸟。。。。”前两天看《梭罗》里面引的这段话，我立刻就在脑海
里浮现出了《读者文摘》的倩影，不愧是伴我渡过整个高中的杂志。不过到后来一
