Black Friday去山里hiking，玩得很high，谁知下山的路上悲催了，陷到路基边上的雪
堆里。
教训1：乐极容易生悲
教训2：雪地unpaved road要12万分的小心，如果traffic允许，尽量往中间开，两边路
基可能会是被大雪覆盖的陷阱。
就在我们一筹莫展，还没眨眼的功夫，开上来一truck，二话不说掏出绳子。计划是先
往后拽拽拉出深坑，再往前蹭蹭拉回路上。谁知我们车上往前拉的hook找不到了，在被
往后拽到更深的坑里之后，我们又动弹不得了。
教训3：对自己的车要熟悉，开了n年的车居然后备箱里有什么工具都不知道，这IQ不是
一般的捉急。其实有空在MIT上灌水，还不如去读读mannual，您说是吧？

发帖数: 15913 | 2 tahoe 4x4 LS几乎肯定配convenience pkg和tow pkg，有了这两个pkg，就有了倒车摄
像头、刀车雷达、可调脚踏板、seat memory、遥控启动、power lift gate，除了皮椅
天窗，其他都有了，比日本车的底配要大方多了。
tow pkg 包括 3。42 rear axle ratio，一般的是3。08比例，会多耗点油，你买这车
应该不在乎，tow pkg还包括辅助变诉器冷却器、heavy duty power steering cooler
，老中一般不拖东西，这些额外的设备会延长车的寿命。
另外，最好再加个chrome pkg，这样前散热器隔栅是金属丝的，门把手和侧视镜子带
chrome，看起来就和LTZ差不多。
不要买新款，新款肯定会超出你的budget。
开这车去tahoe滑雪会比开四缸CVT的忍者四驱有信心多了。 |

我想让对方保险公司把能付的limit先付了,差价我再找自己的保险公司claim
collision 不知道这样行不行?
因为我看我的保险里有个rental和towing选项我没选，是不是就不包括rental and
towing，这样anyway都要找对方保险claim一部分
因为之前不知道limit有问题 所以我一直找对方的保险 现在换成自己的也省不了时间。
对方保险是决定total loss, 因为是新车 车也撞得蛮厉害，所以我也prefer total
loss。 我保险上显示collision只有500 deductible,没有limit,是不是意思是上限是
车的market value. collision会包括rental和towing吗？
对方的保险limit 25k其实也够车的market value,主要是拖车公司强收了$3500，都想
起诉那个拖车公司

发帖数: 15155 | 6 看个人了．如果买GC没有走坏路去野外的打算，那还不如买那一票CUV，卡宴什么的无
论从内饰还是公路都比GC好得多．买越野车底盘护甲（skid plate）不实用？额外机油
冷却不实用？QD２四驱不实用？四级拖车钩和接口不实用？全尺寸备胎不实用？而且这
个pkg包括了空气悬挂和后轴拖车稳定。买jeep不要这些，反倒是看重皮座，那么不如
去买X５, 或者AWD Sienna。
这些东西不到２５００已经很值了

发帖数: 6804 | 7 F-150用全铝绝对是行业里面革命性的进展。很多人根本没意识到。
车轻除了省油，最大的好处是大幅度增加了payload/Towing这两个关键指标。
F-150现在 3.5L 发动机，7800lb GVWR就已经已经实现了3200lb payload。
去网站配了一下，流行配置基本上是1800-2600LB. 这个payload指标快达到2014 F-
250的中低端(GVWR 9000LB）的载重量，比Ram 2500还高。比较一下chevy/ram 1500 的
钢皮卡，最大才1700-2000Lb。
Towing 这个指标水份很大，所以没法直接拿F系和Ram比。但是Ford 自家的比，F-150
可以达到12, 000lb，和F-250几乎相同。如果Ford再激进一点，F-150完全可以在中低
端取代传统的F-250，相当于花同样的钱车却升级到F-250/Ram 2500，
就算不装这么多。有这么大的余量，不谈油耗，还有一堆别的好处，比如Towing的时候
驾驶安全性和操控就要好很多，越野能力也强的多。
所以2014 F-150还是留给那些红脖子买吧，哈哈。 |

摄像头那个 第一是可以装aftermarket的 可能更便宜质量还好 而towing pack想以后
加可没那么容易 这不仅仅是后面加个钩子的事情。第二像你说的 对有些人基本用不到
第三towing package的价格不可能跟摄像头一个价格 一般也就500-1000而摄像头的
pack基本都2k走起

Mertris的Payload 是1800-2500lb towing 是5000lb。
Toyota 的 Sequoia的payload是1300b，Towing 是7000b。
F-150除了少数两款，大部分款式的Pyaload是1700-2350LB，Towing 是 7000-10000lb.
一个2.0T，7速变速箱的车要达到这个水平，车身研发可是需要相当的实力的。 |

tundra 最大payload，4.6是 1500，5.7是2000，f150是3270
tundra 4.6最高towing是6800，还是加装了towing package以后的
5.7最高10500
f150加装以后最高towing是
2.7eco：8500
3.5：7500
3.5eco：12200
5.5：11100
按说tundra的配置，payload应该更强的，不过受限于软烂大梁，所以没法拉多，拉多
了估计大梁受不了，就压烂了
f150的变速箱从来没出过任何问题，开起来比tundra 还smooth
舒适性安静程度比lexus都好，
所以无论是从实用性，舒适性，性能，操控，油耗，可靠性，价格性价比等方面，f150
全面胜出
更不用说丰田皮卡的软烂大梁很容易锈烂了，软皮外壳动不动就变皱褶纸了，而且还有
自动加速隐患

if it's local police, then the price is about half.
我问了下state police, 他们说基本拖车费（5mile之内）是$120. 因为车下了沟， 而
且翻了， 要多收up to $200. towing company charged the max based on the
contract between state police and towing company.

Minivan就好，便宜又实惠。但后来受不住诱惑，看着各种可选功能好象都挺有用，最
终就差不多买了最高配。那么这些可选功能到底有没有用呢？我一一说说我们的体验，

1. 先说车载GPS。因为这是大部分人买车首先会想到的功能。车载GPS绝对会比外置的
GPS方便很多。现在很多人喜欢用google map导航，而google导航有很多优点，比如可
以随时在手机上设置好，选好路线，上车就走，Google导航的质量也比较高，所以很多
人就觉得有没有车载GPS关系不太大。现在的车又开始支持CarPlay或Autoplay了，相当
于google导航和很多其它功能都可以集成进车载系统了。我没用过Car Play和Auto
Play，没有体验。我们也曾经想等几个月再买Pacifica 2018版，因为传说2018版会有

预算够的话最佳选择是f150 super crew 4wd 5.5尺，2.7 +10速变速箱，302a+tow
package，msrp 42k，可能还需要payload包
估计能搞到32、3k睡前，该有的东西基本都有了
如果想要便宜，我刚才去试着build了一下
supercab 4wd， 2.7 ,加题tow 包+ 倒车摄像头，msrp 大概36k多，估计能搞到30k以下

you have two issues here 1) is the two-hour ticket from police 2) the 220
tow fee, are you planning to fight both or just 2,
if you plan to fight just 2 --
1st you need to make sure the sign dosn't say car in violation will be
towed away at owner's expense.
2nd if you can get the police who write you the ticket to be your witness (

车况很好，只在good condition之上。刚换了刹车片和盘，很reliable。
3排大SUV，当时为了带爸妈和小宝一起出去方便买的。带towing和行李架，outing很方便，冬天雪地抓地很好，很少打过滑。虽然是SUV，操控却非常smooth，感觉比一般的sedan还要smooth的多。当时买的时候还试了很多其他同款的车，但刚开上mdx就立刻决定买了。
因为过段时间要回国，只卖$17，920（kbb good condition - $19,920）,实在没人要就留着或送dealer了。

俺的两次towing的经验，供参考：
1，往trailer上load的时候，尽量让重心落在trailer中间稍靠前，就是先装少量轻的
，再装重的，最后再装轻的。
2，车的后轮，要多打些气。最好查查车的手册，在towing的时候气压多少合适。
3，towing的时候刹车距离比平时长，注意保持车距。
4，路上经常检查轮胎，检查车与trailer的连接处。

We did see some retired people in RV camping site but not many, a lot more
are young family with little kids indeed.
Each SUV with towing capability already considered all your concerns, such
as transmission cooling, even sway control etc.
As long as you didn't exceed the car spec and have proper setup, it's save
to town for both of you and your car, no matter diesel and petrol.

皮卡看了一眼就放弃了，决定买SUV，能拖uhual最小的cargo trailer（4000lbs max）
就行。
另外想3,4年之年生娃，现在的车太小，前面做个略大点块头感觉后面就放不下carseat
了，所以换大点车，并且希望它能像社会主一样100年不变。。。
目前看好3个，liberty和terrain在承受范围之内，Q5有点吃力但是省油一些。
茫然了，大家给推荐一下？

其实我更喜欢 Summit Central 的 rope tow，你买票的时候票上面还会印 Magic

第一次做房东，碰到一个无良租客。他自己不遵守HOA擅自在visitor parking lot停车
，被tow两次损失了1000刀，然后他竟然要求我平摊费用，我一口回绝，因为我事先已
经告知他Visitorparking不能停车，而且他在被tow之前也收到过notice。
对于这种房客，大家有什么好办法对付？我唯一担心的是他搞破坏。不过这个人也是有
很好收入的人，并不是一穷二白。
另外，他停在visitor parking主要原因是他的车太大停不下车库。这种情况下，小区
有理由tow他的车吗？而且他申请额外停车的Permit也被HOA拒了，这个是否合理？ |

还有我对这个ticket存有疑问。那个meter写的是4pm没法投币了，4pm之后不能停车，
否则会被
tow away.我投币是到4pm的。然后4:05pm直接给了一张$45的ticket. 这种操作符合规
定吗？
既然写的是tow away，就应该tow啊。 |

打算用08年的三菱outlander拖船， 3.0,V6,4轮驱动，标了3500lb的towing，应该是没
有问题。
但是车上没有装hinch, 据我在网上简单做的调查，需要如下的东西：
1 Receiver Hitches
2 Ready Tow Ball Mount
有这俩东西似乎就能拉了，但是还需要T-Connectors吗？否则trailer如何接受车的转
向和刹车指示？
此外网上一起弹出来的还有weight transfer system.那是个什么东西？
购买了上述配件之后，需要找修车的人帮忙安装吧？看了一下安装的指导，虽说不麻烦
，但是我自己没有任何工具，那找人安装大概需要多少钱？
还有别的需要注意的地方吗？
我还在担心的一个问题是因为每个车的高度不一样，最后装好的tow ball mount的高度
也不一样，那么如何根tailer挂在一起？ |

发帖数: 3888 | 47 By RV I assume you're talking about a 5th wheel. You will need a gooseneck
hitch to tow a 5th wheel. Not practical unless you're retired, travel an
insane amount, and have a huge yard. For now, just rent an RV when you need
one.
As far as towing capacity goes, a full-size truck should be enough. 4x4 won'
t give you more towing capacity, but can be useful when launching boats /
driving in snow / offroading.
If you do get a truck, get a 4x4.

的人，因此建议去太平洋边上冲浪。在夏天，海图上西北二州近海的颜色经常是浅蓝，
大部分沿海州，包括夏威夷，近海的颜色常常是深蓝。这意味着夏天不出美国冲浪的话
，西北角的浪是比较好的。虽然比不了冲浪的圣地，象葡萄牙、澳洲和南非，但是对非
专业的爱好者是足够了。
朋友欣然同意，于是我开始研究和准备工作。我们这里冲浪最大的挑战是水温太低。我
跟踪各个主要的冲浪点，最近半个月的水温52-59F，肯定需要比较厚的wetsuits。第二
个挑战是雾。如果雾大，看不清浪，冲浪的乐趣就大打折扣，有的时候也会比较危险。
有没有雾一般要看冲浪的前一天，如果是大晴天，夜间温度又降的很低，那么第二天早
上很有可能有雾，并且雾气通常一直徘徊到下午，会很让人扫兴。
经过跟踪研究，到星期五的时候锁定了一处朝向太平洋的海湾。星期六浪的等级是3级
，浪高3-4.5尺，水温58F，阴转晴。星期五是阴天，白天气温最高69F，夜间气温最低
57F，所以星期六不大可能有雾。星期六早上的低潮时间是8:20分，下午的高潮时间是2

couple trailer companies, most of the trailers are over 2500LBS.
But none of the big rental car company like Hertz & enterprise will allow
you to use their rental car to tow any trailer at the back.
Also in order for the car to tow the camper trailer or travle trailer, you
need to have the reciever, prewise and the brake.
After I called and found out those information, I am do not think you could

这里的方法主要适合北方冷季草里常见的Kentucky Blue Grass和大多数fescues。fine
fescue比较细嫩，用药量要酌减。
