comments。好好的读一读，注意一定要读至少三次，第一次读的时候你的心中会充满仇
恨，一定会觉得他们都是故意来乱挑刺。 第二次第三次再读的时候，心里就会稍微平
静一点，就能读出他们到底在哪里不满意了。然后针对他们最不满意的地方必须要大幅
度的改进，才能再投。一般至少要等一年才能再投，否则肯定改得不够让他们满意。

proposal". It is basically means "not competitive". If none of the three
reviewers gives you a rating higher than "Good", you will end up with a "
triage".
If you receive one "very good" rating, this reviewer may help you defend
your proposal because he/she thinks you have some good elements in your
proposal that they want to elaborate to other reviewers. However, with my

吃亏的。
我不知楼主是哪个领域的，但至少在生物口，美国评价发考题成就不是单纯数文章数和
影响因子的，人家更看重的是你对领域是不是有sustained and original
contribution.
什么意思？我打个比方，
如果一个人是挖铜的，他开发了一座铜矿，从里面挖出一些铜，并数十年如一曰地到处
推销他的铜矿，后人还真从他的矿里挖出很多铜，甚至比他自己挖到的还多。这种人就
是 leader.
还有一种人，成天去挖金子，但大多是跟风之作，今天这儿有座金矿开发了就跑到这儿
来抢几块金子，明天又去别的地方抢。
中国人一般认为挖十块金子的比挖十块铜的强。但这种情况下，美国这边更推崇第一种
人。这能解释很多现家，比如有的人用发CNS的写的 proposal在study section里给
triage了，常年发 JBC的在study section里却倍受椎崇。有些大牛发了很多CNS但就是
评不上HHMI或院士，等等。
你不能只看人家文章的档次，你得看人家确实做出过什么贡献。相反，这些教授可能还

另外，很多比较好的学校（或者说有钱的学校），在招人的时候根本就不care
你有没有K99. 至少我们系招人的时候就不care。他们更看重你做的项目的方向，
以及你做为一个研究者的潜力。
比较注重K99的大部分是那种公立的州大学，比较穷的那种。 |

我认为变革的目的是为了让科学家过上有尊严，有质量的生活。一个人开心了，有自信
了，有斗志了，才能有好的成果。你看看现在圈子里的人都过着什么样的日子，每个人
都苦不堪言，被各种负面的情绪折磨着。哪里还有多少创造力。负面情绪最大的根源就
是Funding难拿，为什么难拿？僧多粥少啊。可是你不抢怎么办，会饿死的。所以才会
陷入“屡败屡战屡战屡败”的无限死循环。这就是痛苦的根源。每周工作60个小时根本
就不算什么主要矛盾。如果一周工作60小时就有R01，这点工作强度都算什么。就怕你
工作60个小时，到头来一场空，这才是致命的打击。可惜，圈子里大部分人都是每周工
作60小时，到头来又被一次次被triaged。
Faculty还好，至少还有一份养家糊口的工作，能不能tenure是后话。再看看实验室里
的postdoc和学生，他们的未来又在哪里？科研的目的不是用来折磨人的，是来造福人
类的。
既然事情已经这么糟糕了，就应该改革。控制圈子里面现有的人的数量才是最最关键了

for revision, but not all reviewers. Addressing reviewers' concerns is
necessary, but you should still aim for a better grant. Keep trying never
give-up. I go to the study section that my grants got reviewed, I still get
triaged. No biggie, just keep trying. |

hospital setting, ER or ICU. This agent will resolve clots which cause acute
ischemic stroke, and also has the risk of serious bleeding. If it is a
hemorrhagic stroke, this meds can't be infused at all. I think big hospitals
in China should have this kind of meds, but not every hospital can do
critical triage to stroke patients. Even in USA, you have to know which
hospital close to your home has the stroke center or stroke |

conditions, patients can be seen by doctors immediately. If it is not
emergency case, you will be triaged in ER and see doctor in certain pace. A
lot of people use ER as primary care setting, that's why cause all the
long waiting time in the ER. Typically waiting hours in the hospital I work in is 4-
6hrs if your conditions not urgent. |
