着父母都是一生清白做人，还是特级教师，上个医院被如此对待，简直难以忍受。

Houses--up to three stories, called three deckers here--in New England are
mostly made of wood, plus insulation treated with fire retardant. At first I
was surprised, but then came to realize that it was because there is (
almost) no tornado or hurricane here.
Taiwan faces both typhoons and earthquakes. Thanks to the latter, building
codes in Taiwan were modeled after California's. In contrast, California
