1. 明天上午 9:15 在集合点carpool，9:30 从集合点出发。
2. 在 2 号公路上开车要小心，如果觉得有点疲劳就停下来休息一下看看风景（2号公
路沿线有不少 turnout）。不必急着赶路，11:00 前到达 trailhead 即可。
3. 司机开车前最好问问各位乘客有没有会晕车的，要尽量把车开得平稳。如果开得比
较慢，可能需要用 turnout 让过后面的车。

2号公路的北段在5月底重新开放，让我们能径直穿越Angeles Forest。Mt Baden
Powell（海拔9400ft）是 Mt Baldy 北面的最高峰（比 Mt Baldy 低 600ft），在 2号
公路以北约 50mi 处。2号公路号称南加的 most scenic driveway，这次可以顺便开开
看看（觉得不好看的话不要怪我呵呵）。这周多数是多云天气，很可能有机会再看到上
周末那样的云海（老天爷不帮忙的话也别怪我。。。）。

Californians' presidential votes are. The important thing is to participate
- go out and vote. When Chinese voter turnout is high, politicians will care
about us and our children.
Right now, sadly, Chinese voter turnout is still low, and that's a major
reason why our interests are often forgotten. In the words of SF mayor Ed
Lee, "if you're not on the table, you're on the menu." |

Even we can't turn SD10 or AD16 red, at least we need to show DEM/GOP there
is a significant voting pattern change. Voter increase/Turnout rate increase
are two critical indicators.
我再重复一遍，如果老中还是18%的投票率，两党都会忽略我们。这次对我们也是个机
会，希望大家能理解这个message，并告诉身边每一个人。
提高turnout rate，并不是非常困难的一件事，只要你能够选举日花１０分钟去投票站
去一次。或者邮寄选票也可以。你也不用每项都填的，如果不知道选哪个，leave
blank就行了。
今年其实选法很简单，除了少数几个注明的例外的民主党候选人外，全部选共和党就行
了。
再一次重复一遍，如果连这点这么容易的事都不愿意去做，那又凭啥来享有政治权利？ |

怪不得我turnout那么差，我也就开个九十度，老师还总说不要勉强turnout免得扭膝盖

发帖数: 380 | 11 May 19, 一大早起床，天气不错，沿15号高速北上，沿途Utah州的风景不错，尤其是路
的右边连绵的雪山。15号大多是限速75，大家都很守规矩，高过限速2-3mile这样，尤
其是遇到上坡的地方，可能你刚开到坡顶，就发现警车就在那里守着，后面在提提这个
警车。今天计划是游玩Grand Teton，可惜GPS设置的不够准确，再加上手里Garmin GPS
指的路绕大圈（建议对于比较长的行程，大家都在google map上查好，用street view
看好路况，在必经的大路上设置几个via point，这样防止GPS乱指路），最后2点半才
到Grand Teton南门，用的国家公园年票，先去Teton Glacier Turnout 远看冰川雪山,
再去Jenny Lake,发现湖面上都是冰,更别提能有船游湖了，天气阴，风大有些冷。紧
接着的Signal Mountain Summit Road也是封的, 继续往前在Jackson Lake Dam停留了
一会儿, 最后拐到Oxbow Bend Turnout,到达这里的时候天气晴了，这里景色不错，还
看到了唯一一头Moose，快到6 |

希望有经验的前辈给些建议，同时也供其他同行参考。计划当中参看了很多前人的游记

(5) 前往Jackson 约 5.5 小时 fresh raspberry shakes at Bear lake
(6) 入住 cowboy village （确认early check out及早餐），可考虑简单游览小镇

1840-1900年之间的投票率在70-80%左右，最低也有69.6%（1852年）；
最高记录是1876年Hayes和Tilden的竞选，投票率81.8%；
然后1904年、1908年的投票率是65%（65.2%，65.4%）；
此后的投票率降到50-65%，没上过65%；
1908年以后的最高记录是1960年肯尼迪和尼克松的竞选，投票率62.8%；
有三年没到50%：1924年的48.9%，1996年Bill Clonton和Bob Dole的49%，1920年的49.
