标 题: unpaied leave H1-B身份可以保留么？

学校里做postdoc，可能要回国处理事情，呆两个多月，还得签证h1-b。
如果这两个多月不给工资，h1-b身份可以保留么，会影响h1-b签证么？

I posted a similar question here several days ago on this board.
Later got comfirmation ---
1. faculty have no holiday during spring/fall semester. (since there are 3
months summer "holiday")
2. we have sick day leave, I asked if I can use. it I was told "your wife
gives baby, you are not sick, right?".
3. the only mechanism is --- unpaied leave
4. and for unpaid leave, tenure clock does not stop.
5. teach load release? I am asking, but no response a |

intern position require you have work authorization. Intern is a unpaied job
. Can I just say I am doing volunteer? Volunteer does not need work
anthorization. Could someone give me some advice? |
