传的短篇，还有自己写的“创作感想”。看到TRENDS那一篇，居然发现他在1938年（当
时他还在读大学）成功预测成两件事：1）1940年第二次世界大战，2）1970年，人类登
月。
两件事都只差1年而已！

东部的把victorian叫成colonial就够可笑了，更可笑的是加州的把西班牙风格的也叫
做colonial，简直就是文盲。 |

tudor revival的风格）的房子有个不好处就是房顶盖的矮，一般是19XX（30年代之前
）。相比18XX的victorian风格，就显得局促些，victorian风格的房子好处就是大部分
都是10ftceiling或者更高，但是一般都是木头外墙。所以，如果想折中的话，买tudor
revival，房顶高开阔些，然后一般是masonary construction，不过不好找，而且就
算找到了，也比较贵 |

的adaptation。即使是讲述Victorian Story，那种东方式的隐忍和委婉，给故事增添
了很多张力。你可以说这是Victorian的特质，但是这部分恰好是跟中国传统文化相通
的。但是你可以去看下好莱坞版本的《傲慢与偏见》，那种美国的现代风格浅白直露，

首先的问题就是啥是美国人？虽然理论上有米国国籍的同学都是米国人。不过从我个人
对国内不少人的观察来看，这些人的定义其实是：美国环境内长大的白人，或者行为举

Typical low income neighborhoods would be Parkdale, Sherbourne/Wellesley etc
. Low income is typically associated with high rise rental apartments,

restaurants.
If Bloor/Spadina is not livable, what is in downtown north of Davenport?

的不是那个affordability的percentage，而是能afford的人口数和房子总数的比例。
这里看百分比是没有多大意义的。只要还有人能买得起还愿意买，即使affordability

金朝留下了不少文字记录，直到明中期东北的女真人还在使用女真文。根据现代的研究结

看看那些词汇表中的拉丁发音，随便一个懂满语人都会认出几乎所有词汇。

长久思考。还不成熟。这牵涉到人类学和心理学，宗教学等等的综合。
先简单说几句。
在中国，社会早就对阉人现象有了巨大反感，儒家最终成功地把太监限制到皇权周围，
不在全社会泛滥。还加上了种种限制。除了皇家，任何人敢用阉人，都是谋反死罪。皇
家也有限制，比如必须自愿，还有很多是天阉残疾等（比如王振）。
到了明朝，文人对太监的恶毒攻击，全无下限，什么九千岁，想做曹操啦，什么吃小孩
脑浆，想要再长鸡鸡啦。一堆堆全是奸人。小说，笔记，各种文字，全是信口开河的嘲
骂。某笔记小说里，一只猪是曹操转世68代后身，可以理解；而某阉猪则是太监转世。
就算是好的太监，也因为“不孝”之罪，要转世为阉猪。
从社会心理意义上，已经成功使得社会产生了“呕吐感”。江南人动不动就暴乱，打死
几个锦衣卫，太监之类（类似现代的城管）。也是此风潮之产物。锦衣卫，太监，就和
城管一样，被成功污名化，你对他们怎么样都是合理的。一般来说，要灭一个制度群体
，就要先使社会对其产生“呕吐感”。必欲除之而后快。
