说说建设性的意见吧。生物的，比较好也比较大的medical school。
首先，能来选中interview的，一般都是track record足够好的。所以光强调你的
papers，过去做了什么，是不够的。faculty最看重的，是你对未来research的vision
。这个vision，不能只是在technical level上计划下一步或者2步3步怎么走，而是要
对整个领域有广阔跟深刻的认识，对自己要有个3，5年的战略性的计划，要解决什么样
的key questions，能够对领域有足够深刻的贡献和意义。最近来得一个中国人，
publications非常好，但是他talk里只讲了自己是如何攻克过去那些很难的实验的（确
实做的很漂亮) ,但是后来faculty一致反映是这个人太technical，不够visionary，没
能进入第2轮。

我指的vision，类比的话，可能算是jobs预见到用户以方式x使用手机和mp3还有itunes

较让大家理解。这个vision的方式在任何产品和服务开发中都可以应用。
消费者对你的产品最终会有一个很抽象的认识，而你如何塑造好这种抽象的认识就很重
要了
另外，扯一个比较靠近执行的方向，你有没有想过kickstarter其实本身也是某种意义
上的产品推广？而不单纯只是筹资。如果你的产品功夫到位，能够上那些科技媒体，那
好处可是大大的，当然，难度是有的，要看产品了（工业设计是其中很重要的一环）。

上行为方式，都是利弊难料的。
appliance工作原理上新颖，不一定用户就能够很快接受，引导需求也不是小公司能做
的起的。适当的知识营销是必须的。哪里都需要白花花的银子。四两拨千斤，希望美梦
能成。

i missed a great chance to buy in today when it cross 180 with volume. WSJ
had a nice write up about prime membership as a visionary move from their
CEO. and the free streaming is gonna increase their membership. Honest, i
don't the steep sell off in front of ER, but it can get crazy like today. |
