should I write a note attached to the LOR saying to ERAS:these LORs are
needed, I want to replace the old ones with these new ones, while the
authors are same one?
Or just go to ERAS, as Eric suggest, upload the new one? Which one is more
safe?

如果你心里担心。可以写电子邮件问 attending是否会给你一个 "strong" letter。

至少你心里会有点底。
另外，你观察一下attending平时说话的baseline.
我有一个attending, 平时说话就很positive. 我有自知之明知道自己是level B. 但是
因为
他说话baseline就很高, 即使像我这样很普通的人, 他也会给我很多
compliments, 这样的
attending, 写的推荐信，基本不会太差。事实上有很多人问他要推荐信。他跟我说过
去的两个月里写了几十封推荐信。
假如有另外一个attending, 平时说话就很negative, 对自己和对别人要求都很高， 给你
反馈意见的的时候告诉你一堆需要你进步的东东 (这当然是好事， 你可以根据他的意
见改
进自己)。但是也有可能他的推荐信里也会写一堆需要你进步的地方.
你好不容易找到observation 的机会，好不容易能找人帮你写信，没有什么很多的选择

Just wanted to give this good news that 2nd yr fee is most probably waived
for those who got on Amex Gold 50K points, 2-yr fee waiver deal and some of
us actually end up getting 75000 and then 50000 offer. I called them

5: 不豁免，直接J1转H1工作。
说道“给老板白白打工8个月，损失收入至少3万”，我还真的一肚子火。这中间钱的损
失和经历的浪费，让人心痛。
我LD是从第三国签证持J1签证来美国的，该J1签证上就是没有要求回国（回中国，or回
第三国）呆两年的限制 （not subjected to 212(e)）。是完全可以从J1直接转H1工作
签证的。我想，我LD的案子对一些走中国－－欧洲－－美国这条途径的人，是有借鉴意
义的。
我LD当年先持工作签证到欧洲工作了2年，后来拿到了美国一个高校的postdoc
position，于是持J1来了美国。该J1页写了不受回国工作两年的限制（not subjected
to 212(e)）。LG在美高校呆了9个月以后，坏老板突然赶人，并且只提前给了两个礼拜
的时间。这两个礼拜中，还包括12月25日到1月1日的新年假期，实际上我们的有效时间
只有5天。显然不可能在这么短的时间内找到工作。于是，我LD首先递了H4申请以保住
