请问有什么书，网站能恶补一下的？
平时ETL, SQL Stored Procedure写的比较多，不过data warehousing design上一窍不
通啊。

都没给，让我白期待了一个多星期。
这次我又order了，现在状态也是warehoused，也像模像样的给了fedex的tracking
number，拭目以待吧 |

except one Taiwanese Chinese FF in S. CA, in my past 7 years import/export
biz experiences before. Price quote from a FF is not that important, or not
the 1st priority, because uncertainty happens in trade - eg, if your
shippment is late or have to go through US custom's inspection, and you need
some days of warehousing, etc. FF with this capacity or who can offer

前段有个project,要隔段时间就把数据库里更新了的股票数据load到dashboard里，用
asp.net做的，因為有几个表，而且有表和表之间的join什么的操作，所以不能用java
的class.asp.net做着还算顺手，但是，要把entity里的表清空了再load新的数据，就
非常慢。后来才发现，原来asp.net里面，你每清除一行记录，asp.net就会写入log,所
以非常慢，nnd.
还是java方向市场广阔。
hadoop,teradata最近太热了。据说data warehousing是烙印的天下，老中挤不进去?
还是因为data warehousing很多都是contractor工作？ |

data warehousing是database的分离
读写分离，强调读，而非写，传统db强调写而非读
尤其是transaction，会占用大量的资源
如果读写无法分离的话，会导致数据抽取很消耗生产性能
所以提出了分离的概念，当时还没有nosql的说法
或者nosql本身就是一个退化了的东西
所以当时认为，所有的数据都应该是结构化的数据
db也的确存大量结构化的数据，所以data warehouse一度盛嚣尘上
不过如果对db有所了解的话就大概知道，db本身并不统一
各种db有自己的sql features，导致不同db之间很多接口不一样
所以当时搞分布式的搞出了hibernate来封装所有的db差异
db都不统一，data warehouse就更不统一了，所以最后这个东西也没有掀起太大的波澜
很快，有家公司叫google，有个大学叫stanford
stanford关于web search&text analysis的研究有一定年头了
最早统计的应用可以追溯到70年代，然后两个phd对web page的研究
