地方是BAR（也就所谓的钢筋）的位置。时间久了由于房子的挤压在地基四周的角上都
会有这些CRACK。用水泥抹上一层就可以了。
外墙侧面都会有一条EXPANSION JOINT的线。填充物都是有弹性的，一般是灰色或者棕
红色。这是为了避免由于天气原因，热胀冷缩造成房屋的损坏而建立的。 |

发帖数: 8308 | 5 车库sheet rock和地面应该有4寸左右空档，先沿着墙一周看有没有两个手指头左右或
更大的洞，有的话可以在洞附近下夹子，用homedepot victor牌的大夹子，小的一般没
用。如果确认车库没有耗子爬进sheet rock后面的洞口，把下面空档封闭，方法很多，
有人用水泥，有人用2X4的木头条子，然后沿墙在外面盖一层base board，就跟室内装
修一样。
确认耗子在车库三面进不去墙后，趁天亮关车库门，在库内把灯关了，一般会看见外面
阳光从车库门两边和门轨下面缝隙透进来，确认缝隙大小，把不妨碍库门滚动的所有缝
隙全部封死，一般是用木头条削成梯形往里塞，看缝隙形状了。
PEST CONTROL 基本就是扔几包药，没太多用处，animal control会漫天要价，规律基
本是围着房子晃一圈儿然后就恐吓你，说到处都是耗子痕迹和dropping，房子所有角落
都可能进，听他们的基本就是这房子不能住了，然后天价报价，4000尺房能要$8500包
工包除耗子终身保修，7000尺有要过$16000的，根本就胡来，便宜的也能找到，但他们

最简单直接方法：养猫，而且是micer，不许进房的，两只足够了，老美一般都会说别
和这种猫get too attached，但是抓耗子很管用。
美国那么多农场独立屋，没几个没发生过耗子问题，但也没几个鼠灾的，所以也别太
freak out，人不能让耗子弄崩溃了。只要你一家发现超过3只耗子，你放心，不只你一
家，这是整个社区问题了，不信你可以找pest control挨家严查然后画社区图，没几个
能逃过，只不过老美不大在乎。
耗子往往入住两天就搭窝，但一旦窝周围环境被毁灭，它照样搬，没耗子坐那儿等死的
，所以事在人为。
耗子入口不是那么容易找全，你能确定房子从上到下所有1/2寸以上缝隙都堵塞了么，
所有weep holes（有时藏在downspount后面的砖之间）, 所有downspout口，所有vent
hood，所有房子转角，所有房顶-房体结合部，光房顶这部分，24尺梯子搭上去，一尺
尺挪着检查，这点儿活儿差不多就一天了，耗子爬墙可以无限向上，20来尺非常容易。
理论上来说房子可以被你彻底封闭，唯一找不到的就是入口在邻居院子里，出口在你家

间。五月到十月，风景最漂亮的锡安峡谷只能坐公园的大巴进去，游客不能开自己的车
。坐巴士的另外一个好处是司机兼职导游，一路开一路讲解沿途的景点
锡安是大圆圈（grand circle）里我们去的第一个公园。犹它亚利桑那这一片，地表都
是很独特的红色砂岩。在有些地方因为流水的腐蚀，经年累月形成了比较深的峡谷，把
更深层的岩石层暴露出来，更加漂亮。锡安就是这么一个地方
这里最早当然也是印第安人的地方。后来摩门教徒受到其它教派的迫害，被迫搬到犹它
。发现这个地方以后很惊艳，说太漂亮壮观了，这就是上帝修建的避难所。便有了锡安
这个名字
坐着大巴进去，左边是峡谷底的小河叫维京河（virgin river），直到今天还在孜孜不
倦的冲刷着。峡谷两岸都是造型独特的岩壁和巨石。我们这些远方来的游客看到什么都
很新鲜，当地人大概看多了也就这么回事。峡谷里还有些小瀑布，要稍微走一点点路才

在Many Glacier Hotel住了三个晚上，推荐，就是有点贵。
Going to the sun还没通，说7月1日后通，我从St Mary进去，
到Jackson Glacier后就不通了，调头开车2个半小时，到West Glacier
进去，走到Weeping Wall，又不通了。West Glacier那一段非常精彩，
属于must see in your life。
走了到Grinnell lake的trail，推荐。

了车. Visit Center 的门口立了个牌子, 上面写着Parking lot full, park in
Springdale. 我本来都想回头了, 然后一想这个牌子又不是临时写的, 肯定是一天到晚
都在这里立着, 里面肯定还有位置. 哈哈! 果不其然, 里面的位置还不少呢.
把园子的brochure拿来看了以后, 我和领导觉得Angels Landing肯定是上不去的, 就带
着孩子们走走easy的trail吧. 首先坐shuttle到了Temple of Sinawava, 然后走了
Riverside Trail, 一直走到Narrows的门口, 但没有涉水过河. 两个孩子兴致都还很高
, 一路打打闹闹就到头了. 回程的时候发现路边石缝里还有一条蛇不停地吐着芯子, 但
也没攻击近在咫尺的人们.
然后我们又走了Weeping Rock Trail和Emerald Pools Trail.但在去Lower Emerald
Pool的路上老大突然说不舒服, 不想往前走了. 那时候 |

trail,比如weeping rock啥的。
第二天上午Angel Landing(4个小时)，The narrows不知需要多长时间，4个小时够不？
然后大约4点钟去盐湖城。
看有的帖子说游了上面两个景点，就算差不多了？ |

发帖数: 130 | 41 同意二楼的说法，没爬过Angel landing ，没淌过The Narrows，不算真正体验Zion。
Zion本来就是以山体奇险著称，一般停留短的就是坐在公交上转一圈，看看黄色的山脉
，最多在Temple of Sinawava下车走走river walk，但还没淌The Narrows，或者走走Weeping Rock就回了。
如果真的爬了Angel Landing，就不会觉得很没劲了，那种刺激和辛劳一定很难忘。
其实，有不少国家公园都要深层次体会，靠Hiking，而不是靠“看”，Zion就属于这种，
当然像黄石这类国家公园主要是“看”。 |

很喜欢这种风格的山体，像水帘洞一样，下面还有个池子。
感觉Lower emerald pool 和Weeping Rock 很相像都是水帘洞的感觉，不过，Lower
emerald pool那里的山体更大气， |
