reportedly wrote more prescriptions for the drug Tamiflu than any other flu
treatment. But after recent reports about the Food and Drug Administration's
reluctance to issue a warning about certain possible dangers of using
Tamiflu, one has to wonder which is more dangerous--the flu or the FDA?

Shelah三十年前就用集合论的办法解决了Whitehead problem.
Gowers做Banach空间的很多方法就来与集合论有关.
Hrushovski九十年代就用模型论解决了代数几何的Mordell-Lang猜想,为此
还获得98年Fields奖提名.可惜逻辑太没势力,没有拿到.
蠢材对于前二者不知道也就罢了,
对于自己领域内这么重要的结果竟然一无所知. |

coconuts is -4!
imagine every time the monkey gets one, total becomes -5, equally
distributed, the person hides -1, again one is left with -4. this process
thus can be repeated.

约在两千三百年前，举行了一次著名的演讲。听众都很有名，

者是权威人士：他是柏拉图。
这篇演说，就其对题目的阐述而言，是失败的；这是由于演讲
者主要是献身于数学的。自从柏拉图和他的直接门徒以后，善的概
念就与数学脱离了关系。就是在现代，著名的柏拉图学者，除了很
少例外，都竭力避免表现出对数学的兴趣。柏拉图的一生中，一直
