introduced. I am "baptized into his death", but I do not enter in quite
the same way into His resurrection, for, Praise the Lord! His
resurrection enters into me, imparting to me a new life. In the death
of the Lord the emphasis is ... 阅读全帖

Euthyphro. Why have you left the Lyceum, Socrates? and what are you doing in
the Porch of the King Archon? Surely you cannot be concerned in a suit
before the King, like myself?
Socrates. Not in a suit, Euthyphro; impeachment is the word which the
Athenians use.
Euth. What! I suppose that some one has been prosecuting you, for I cannot
believe that you are the prosecutor of another.
Soc. Certainly not.
Euth. Then some one else has been prosecuting you?
Soc. Yes.
Euth. And who is he?
Soc. A young... 阅读全帖

First, The regenerating work of the Spirit is compared to water....
(verse 8)
Secondly, It is compared to wind: The wind bloweth where it listeth, so is
every one that is born of the Spirit, The same word (pneuma) signifies both
the wind and the Spirit. The Spirit came upon the apostles in a rushing
mighty wind (Acts ii. 2), his strong influences on the hearts of sinners are
compared to the breathing of the wind (Ezek. xxxvii. 9), and his sweet

Letters from the Earth
When the Creator had finished thinking, He said, "I have thought. Behold!"
He lifted His hand, and from it burst a fountain-spray of fire, a million
stupendous suns, which clove the blackness and soared, away and away and
away, diminishing in magnitude and intensity as they pierced the far
frontiers of Space, until at last they were but as diamond nailheads
sparkling under the domed vast roof of the universe.
At the end of an hour the Grand Council was dismissed.
They left... 阅读全帖

A Sermon on the Pericope Adulterae
by Michael Marlowe, 2004
The Quo Vadis story is one of those Legends of the Saints that are well-know

Mesoamerican Traditions of Darkness and Seismic Events when Christ Died:
Consistent with the Book of Mormon
http://www.jefflindsay.com/bme14.shtml
The Book of Mormon records a number of unusual and dramatic events that
occurred in the New World at the time when Christ was crucified in the Old
World, which concurred with a time of great wickedness in Book of Mormon
lands. In 3 Nephi 8, we read that a great storm arose accompanied with
seismic events and apparent volcanic activity resulting in thi...
