Gust 60MPH，笼统的来说风力是风速乘以二。对我来说，15-20MPH的风速出船已经很危
险了，有站不稳的倾向，如果我一个人开船，掉水里是很难爬上船的。我在15MPH风速
以上是不出船的。我的船不算轻，17.6尺FiberGlass，基本上都要到Cove里去，平底船
就更不要想了。在Main Lake上面控船多过钓鱼。最好的Pro，顶风风力Wind

My kayak can handle 20mph wind. but I have to be very very careful.
16mph is fine with it. I can only fish under less than 16mph wind.
8-12mph wind is great for kayak fishing.
0-8mph wind makes you feel too quiet.
Based on my experience, the frequency of wind has more effect on kayak
fishing
than its intensity. |

要说Gone with the Wind, 还是先说说 Atlanta吧。
最开始知道亚特兰大是因为96年的奥运会还有那本以Atlanta为发生地的著名的《
Gone with the Wind(乱世佳人)》，高中外语老师最喜欢的小说。后来到我第一次来美
国时，在AA的飞机上，和坐在我左边的一个阿姨攀谈，她当时是随着女儿去亚特兰大。
阿姨很朴素坚强，完全不懂不懂英语，对着金发胖胖的“空姨”不停的比划，倒也总能
表达自己的饮食preference，当然了，飞机上本来就没有很多食物选择。闲暇时和她聊
，她也慢慢的娓娓道来：女儿和女婿已经在亚特兰大定居，还有两个可爱的孩子⋯

gushing wind of 60 mph. When the wind blows, the shear force compressed
tires on one side thus the car tends to turn that direction. When the wind

以多睡一个钟头，恶向胆边生，我就来随便说说，楼主莫怪，讲得好与不好都不准拍砖
头！
楼主的诗的第一段是这样写的:
"A little hobbit, he is
Stuck on the winding stair.
Grey and drizzling again, it is
As if his doom is declared."
首先，stair 应做 stairs，否则就不是楼梯的意思了。其次，在我的理解里，英诗非
但要符合文法，也要念起来通顺。也就是说，抑扬顿挫，断句都断在该断的地方。LZ
的第一段，我就很有疑问。
第一段中有两个句号，看起来像是两个整句，可是很明显地两句都是断在不该断的句子
中间。所以我就开始怀疑是不是我搞错了？是不是第一行就是一个完整的句子，如下？
"A little hobbit, he is."
如果真是这样的话，首先就不该有个逗点，因为这是属于写诗特有的倒装句型（而非一
般口语中的倒装句），将后面的补语拿到前面来。其次，如果这是一个完整句子的话，

wind-on leader便于你快速更换leader。
1)主线是编织线。先作一个bimini twist。
2)取一节编织线和FC LEADER组成wind-on leader。编织线的一端作一个bimini twist
，作为备用的将来和主线作LOOP TO LOOP连接；另一端和FC LEADER连接，连接的方式
可以为NO NAME KNOT(需要在该编织线另一端再做一个LOOP)，或LP结(这个你一定很在
行)。这样wind-on leader就作好了。
3)更换wind-on leader，你只需作LOOP TO LOOP连接，这在船上容易做到，节省了大量
的时间。
4)如嫌bimini twist麻烦，可用SPIDER HITCH代替，但不如bimini twist可靠。

是先是一根长mono，中间部分架个铅笔，然后twist，一路到末端，这端（两段loose
end）接fc leader，这个结忘记了。然后抽出铅笔，另一端已经是做好的两端是loop的
jb hollow，他们称呼这个是casting wind-on leader，难道是他们自己发明的？我在
网上找了很久。
本来没打算用wind-on leader，我想带着pr knot的打结器上船，一般打结只需要10分
钟最多，但前天和断杆钓鱼时候练习casting，sami和paul说的果然对，pr knot在
casting时候有时候会发生缠在collecting guide上，我有一次果然主线绕着
collecting guide，还伤了一段线，所以popping时候就考虑还是用wind-on leader。
你说的对，wind-on leader做好几套备用，节省大量时间，我在想难道要再去sami那里
请他演示一番？你们二位老大有丰富深海popping经验，所以先来这里请教一下。

can handle.
steering in 40mph wind won't be considered 'comfortable' at all.
But can we handle it in some emergency?
I think some professional boaters such as Captjay can give us the answer.
I just googled a video showing a 14' aluminum boat steering in the 40mph
wind.
16mph is my alarm zone. 20mph is my dead zone.
so I can imagine a 40 mph wind is not far more strong.

is typical warm, and from north in the winter season (Nov - March), which
is typical cold, after my 1-year experience in Texas.
The wind strength in Texas State ranks no.2 in the United States.
My personal feel is the winter wind is stronger than the summer wind. it's
harder to break through in the winter. Also it's more difficult to keep ball
straight.
On the other hand, winter wind in Texas might be the better way to |

think it's true. It 's pretty good when we have left to right wind, and als

I realized it's pretty bad for tee shot when having the same wind. the cut s

But you can change the design (move the sail to the front of the boat or
lift the center board half way (moving back)) to make it stable. Still,
with 10 knots wind, even with no friction, the max speed of your sailboat on
the run is 10 knots.
In a beamreach, you can assume there is a constant force on the sail with no
friction, so the boat can keep accelerating. (imagine you put sailboat on
