. reason is : taurus has cheap parts at least and u should be able to find a
good transmission from junk yard.
Normally transmission shop give u 2-3 years warranty.

If it is 90k miles and the fluid is dirty(fresh fluid is pink), it is worthy
to replace all of them. buy a transmission gasket and filter and ask some
garage to do it for you.

wouldn't end up in that room to start with. small claims judge listen to

The biggest problem u will have is emission inspection in states like CA.
If catalytic converter is really broken, eventually it will result ur engine
over heat.
A new catalytic converter may not solve ur problem at all, this kind of code
is very tricky. Considering it is an very old car, it is not worthy to
spend too much money to fix it.
