珍 - S - 金女士﹐建議我寫一篇有關作家經歷的社論。她那溫柔的心腸為作家淌血﹐
而我覺得她是有道理的。
首先讓我說清楚﹐我說的‘作家’是指的什麼﹐我不想把這‘詞’限制在那些成功
者﹐那些出過暢銷書﹐或是每年都大量生產出版物的﹐或是那些靠筆桿﹑打字機﹑文字
處理機而生活奢華﹐或成名﹐受人景仰的人。
我指的還有那些偶然賣出了一篇東西﹐得到一筆微薄的金錢﹐給他正常職業收入外
﹐加一點外快。他走在街上無人識得。
事實上﹐讓我更進一步﹐我甚至包括那些從來沒有賣過一篇作品作家﹐他是個作家
﹐只因他如狗般的寫作不懈﹐送出一篇又一篇的作品﹐生活在尚未得到充實的渴望之中。
我們不能排除後面這一類﹐說他們是失敗者而不是作家。從某方面來說﹐他們也許
不會永遠是失敗者﹐任何一個作家﹐在他成功之前﹐即使是像超新星那樣脫韁之馬的成

为空, reader应当block.
Solution:
In the main thread, initialize a semapore S to 0, initialize a mutex M.
In the write thread, for each write, lock M, write, unlock M, post S.
In the reader thread, for each read: wait S, lock M, read, unlock M.
上面的解法有没有问题? 其它有更好的算法么? |

司报价２万刀。很多这些ORACLE应该都有现成的REPORT，比如说每天输入SALES ORDER
后，需要一个REPORT显示哪些顾客ORDER了哪些ITEM之类的,我们只是需要修改一下让
REPORT更USER FRIENDLY。
安装的公司报价是不是太贵了？整个安装下来要是常用的REPORT（发票，PO， 什么的
FORMAT 改一下等等）都找他们做，恐怕１０万刀都做不下来。我看了一下，ORACLE自
带的销售发票基本上也就是我们现在用的格式，只是需要微调一下格式，如果能加上一
个DUE DATE那就PERFECT了。
Oracle 10G report 很难学吗？我想我来学一下挣这钱算了。
对于很熟练的REPORT WRITER，２万刀可以写多少个常用的基本？
我什么都不懂，但实在看不过我们的IT PERSON也不懂.

存成mht格式，另一个是全选整个网页copy到word里存下来。两种方法都基本能保存格
式和图片等。在linux下，没有ms的mht格式，我试了copy网页到openoffice writer，
结果图片不会自动copy进去，格式也很乱。有没有其他方法阿？谢谢！ |

Well, I guess you are saying you like someone's wrting style, that I can
understand. I find that a lot of psychologists' writing styles are bland,
pretentious and lack insights. Guess you have to write that way to publish on
APA journals :)
I like linguists' writing at the moment: clear, illustrative, and concise. An
example is Stephen C. Levinson. |
