As i have said long time ago, normal amateur Chinese wont have problem to
get into 4.5 ranking. 4.0 is a level that an average tennis enthusiast
can reach, just tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
I know lot of people(not chinese tho) start to touch tennis at their 40s,
and playing 4.0 league with OK score after 4~5 years actively playing.

我以为我们这边的ESR也应该出来的，但查了一下，好像只有senior的才有，跟以前的

strkes. Some teams complained without any legitimate reason.
I didn't try to sandbag. My pervious coach was trying to play me in X-0.5
level team for 2010 season. I didn't agree so I dumped him. And USTA bumped
me to this level at YER anyway. So I start to play level X and X+0.5. Also I
think I improved this year. E.g. I beat a guy 3&3 who beated me easily 1&2
in 2009.

有一个参加National的#1 single player（除了在Sectional输给我0&1外)本赛季全胜
。他ESR是4.0。按说YER不应该低于4.0。结果由于Sectional输我太多，被搞回3.5。

很多球友问评级，或者用NTRP guide line自评的时候，实际上就是文中所说的USTA以
前使用的rating system, 是Skill based.
当你参加USTA联赛之后，你拥有的评级，就是目前使用的performance based system。
我们经常把skill 和 performance混淆。

的胜率是100%， local league 还赢了ex - D1 player (given they played again
later for fun, and he got killed lol). 今天一早austin 强4.5队的captain 就给
他打电话了。。。 I guess it's better to be a HOT 4.5 super star than a low 5
.0 beggar.
我猜他被bump down 是因为一场 5.0 dubs, 对手是2个4.5的doubles specialist, 他
的partner是个 mid 4.5.... lost in 3 I think. |
