got let go today. We all know it would happen after busy season. But it is
only Feburary...It sucks!
I heard HR sent out email last night and asked these people to take computer
back.
So things don't look pretty. Good thing is the firm is still hiring.
Remember, big 4 is like a pyramid. They always need people staying in bottom
and working hard..

Audit's growth is flat last year, unlike Tax and Consulting service still
have moderate growth. |

Honestly, I don't think this is it. There is more rounds coming.. In my
local office, two rounds already - last August and this Feb.. Maybe after
busy or in the summer....
Everyone would be worried. Only partners are the ones who draft the killing
list...

got let go. Meanwhile, I keep asking myself: this is it? Are they going to
bump again next week.
It drives me nuts.

other one in November around 7....mostly managers, and 2nd years. The rumor
was more layoff after busy season, but I guess it can happen anytime..damn...
our team has been talking about layoff even since...
it seems the decisions are made at a VERY high level, and only a limited
number of partners are invovled in the process. It's not related to CPA
because some of the people let go passed all 4 parts. It's more about

的office丢了大的客户）Partner也会被layoff和downgrade.
我去了新的公司，我们新招的人全是从各大银行和投行出来的。他们很多拿了severance pay, 现在job market 比几个月前更恐怖了。
To ToMountain, 我是换了工作后两周拿到GC。我沾了老公的光，他拿到了LC的机会，
节约了很多年的时间。在这一点上，我还是很幸运的。现在这个年头，就慢慢等绿卡吧
