原来在国内学医，临床工作过几年，现在已辞职。
由于不想再做医生，现在又无所事事，想重新开始上学。
对会计有些兴趣，可是完全不懂。
看到有MACC一年的课程，想努力一把去完成。不知道该从哪里下手？
我现在知道需要考TOEFL和GMAT.
其他需要什么？专业方面？
请各位指点，谢谢。。。 |

发帖数: 69 | 2 找些基本的会计书籍看看吧，就当闲书一样的看看，不用很花精力去研究。不过好歹先
把借贷平衡的一些基本知识掌握了，要不开课了，多少会有些头晕。
不过开始program的学习后，你会发现会计很容易，没有什么精深的东西在里面。 |

然后再看相关书，建议直接看英文的，因为你是要学英文课本的
中英文脑子中翻译还是不太爽 |

发帖数: 658 | 7 呵呵，真有趣。我还后悔怎么当初学会计，要是考大学学医多好啊。我觉得你在选择会
计之前一定要考虑清楚，以免将来后悔，浪费了大好青春。除了TOEFL和GMAT，还需要
GPA。如果本科不是会计的，需要补本科课。你之前不是商科的，基本上要补很多本科
课后才能上研究生部分的课。

我当时补本科的课补了一年。。
正在找工作，看找工作网站上，现在只有找医生还写着可以sponsor H1B或者J1
看得我十分的upset...

college again, I would definitely not choose accounting. I work for one of
the big four firms in tax for 6 month and got laid off march this year. I
still cant get a job. I am a CPA, MAcc and everything. This profession is
too saturated. I wanna become a pharmacist so bad recently, because of the
job market. But to become a pharmacist I have to learn from scratch, biology
101, chemistry 101...etc. I am 26 already and t |

. I want to make another point. The firm that I used to work for ships huge
amount of accounting/financial work to india. I would say 50%-70% of entry
level work are outsourced to the india office. Besides the economy, there is
another huge risk about many of the business professions such as,
accounting, finance, statistics...etc. All those jobs are in danger of being
outsourced. India tax preparer works for no more tha |

发帖数: 78 | 17 I can't believe you never heard of tax outsourcing. It's huge in the industry. At least Deloitte is doing it. I am sure other big firms are doing it as
well. In the future, there will be more and more. Of course, there are some work that cannnot be outsource, like FAS 109, FIN 48, property tax, E&P review. Basically all the tax to book conversion work cannot be outsourced so far. But once, you get that audit report and all the book data ready, preparation work will fly to India, then come back t |

发帖数: 14 | 20 Totally agree. I worked for Deloitte for 9 months in audit and was laid off
in May. Still no job. I passed all CPA exams and accounting master from a
very good university, just like TNCPA. One big obstacle for me is the need
for H1B sponsorship. Deloitte does outsource a portion of audit work to
India.
Funny thing is I'm wondering why I chose accounting and didn't go into
healthcare which is a promising field.

要是干会计，没八九年根本到不了这个数字，还要不被laid off，一帆风顺的。。。她
最近想跳到更好的医疗中心，简历刚挂网上就收到七八个电话面试，忙的不亦乐呼的。
我还真没听说过护士被裁员的，只有各大医院天天挂出来的opening。真的挺不错的。
