PWC sent me a link. Surprise that they said they did not want to consider
further and of course a bit upset.
I have 6 yrs US Accounting/auditing experience with CPA but no big4
background. So wanted to go back to public accounting to bill a stronger
background. I applied for a Sr. position only. How come? But I submitted 90K
plux for the salary expectation. Do you think it is too high? |

. 6Y experience w/ big 4 backgroud, you might get a management position
with around 90K or higher in a mid to big size public company.
but frankly speaking, I don't think ur background is that impressive,
considering u don't have any big 4 experice. Well, unless, you are from a
fortuen 50/100 company (not 500) Internal Audit team with strong team
leader/management backgroud.
CPA is nothing. In big4, almost every Chinese sr. auditor is a CPA. |

1. Does PWC pay other Sr. Auditors 90k-105k? Have you done your homework? (
H1B wage data, glassdoor, etc.)
2. What is your current salary? If you earn 60k, then asking for 105k seems
to be too much. If you earn 80k already, then asking for 90k - 105k is more
reasonable. You need to take into consideration of cost of living indexes
among different cities when you crunch numbers. |

expectation for a manager position is around 100K - $120K.
This is on the east coast, between suburban and city, but not NYC.
Given the higher cost of living and state/city tax in NYC comparing to where I am, I would say 90K-
105K for a senior (tax) position sounds reasonable to me. |

你这个不是典型吧。这个是exception 不是rule.(he's not that into you)
你同学要不做
1. 很technical的department （transfer pricing?)
2. 要不有工作经验。
3. 有master （这个肯定了 但是master是基本薪水加$3000)
4. so或者是有LLM
以上是assumption 下面是fact
每年10%-15% 是pre-financial crisis.
这3年没有这歌仔唱了。
再或者就是你同学小忽悠了一下 算上bonus 算上health care coverage. 所谓的total
compensation package..nnd.我还8w呢 这么算

firm paid more bonus in 2010 to ppl did not get raise in 09.

auditor is too high. I work in a big city in East coast, not NYC, and my
medium size cpa frim offers $60 k - $65 k for senior auditor with a CPA
license. |
