Actuarial Data Analyst") within the Actuarial Dept of a health insurance
company. The interviewer knows I've taken actuarial exams and has told me
they don't provide exam support for this position. If he asks me "Where do
you see yourself five years from now?", how to best phrase my answer, given
my tricky situation, to convince him that my unfortunately half-exposed intention of becoming an actuary (

Generally, I don't think you need to hide your actuarial exams,
since this postion is in the actuarial dept anyway, even though
exam support is not offered. Having actuarial exam will almost
for sure help your opportunity. Furthermore, a lot of actuarial
depts, as far as I know, offer rotation programs, where you can
work in different unit within the dept, for some companies even
outside the dept. As I mentioned in a recent post, a co-worker
of mine just moved to the finance

situation may not be as an oxymoron as it looks like. Hopefully that it will
turn out that they view my taking exams as an asset, instead of liability.
