because the explanation of gustar verbs and reflexive verbs are not clear.
So I started using Duolingo to learn basic vocabulary. It is a very good app
. You can learn simple sentences to pick up basic vocabulary by topic. You
will also see different verb tenses. For that part, you should learn how to
conjugate verbs for different tenses.
Eventually I finished Spanish on Duolingo but I still feel that I don't have
a good command of the language because even though I know how to conjugate
verbs in different tenses, I don't know when to use what. For example, the
use of preterite versus imperfect.
So at that point I took an intermediate Spanish. It is really helpful. I am
now super clear about preterite versus imperfect, the use of subjunctive,
the use of pronouns, commands, reflexive verbs and relative pronouns. I view
this level as the bottle neck.
Past this stage, it's all about cumulating knowledge. Read news in Spanish,
watch tv in Spanish, and try to practice speaking with native speakers.
Eventually you will be fluent. |
