iPhone 5 should be A5 based and can do 1080p ... lighter and slimmer ...
and a white version .... simultaneously support both UMTS and CDMA ... and
say bye bye to Intel's modem .... I guess ...
Not sure if it will support dual-sim ... |

发帖数: 2283 | 6 I agree ... There will be iPhone 5 which uses A5 and very possibly around
this summer before the next back-to-school sale.
As you now, iPhone 4 uses A4 and 3GS uses an A4 preceder ... I guess
Apple hardware upgrade, which should be similar to the pattern of Intel
PCs, is CPU/GPU based.
I don't think there will be any iPad 3 tile a new generation CPU/GPU, say
A6, comes out ...
And I think there will be a good chance iPhone 5 will come out before the
next back to school sale ... the reason is the phone business is very
competitive ... more competitive than the tablet business ..... if Apple
doesn't come with the dual-core A5, Samsung/Moto will do it for sure
around this summer... |

iPhone 3G. It is a pre-A4, which is published before A4 was matured. I
am convinced that Apple will use its A5 for its iPhone line in the near
future since it seems that A5 is pretty matured now ..... I am not sure
if Apple will come out with a specially designed pre-A5 CPU/GPU for a
new iPhone called iPhone 4S ... The reason is the cost will be too high
... if it is only used for iPhone 4S. It is appearant to me Apple is
reducing the number of SoC across its production lines.
Anyway, IMHO, what you said is always possible but it doesn't follow the
past pattern ...because I don't see the reason why Apple will make some
pre-A5 for it ... However, I feel it is more possible that there would
be some sort of iPhone 5S before Apple office publish its A6 SoC ... and
the iPhone 5S will use a new version of A5 with a more advanced
fabrication technology from TSMC instead of Samsung ....
I guess another reason why Apple will dump Samsung Semiconductor is
because Samsung is appearantly making its Hummingbird SoCs, which are
clones of Apple SoCs, its own phones and tablets ...
