1 if the coolant leaks to the engine oil system, the engine oil level should
go up. Check the level
2 if the coolant leaks to the engine combustion chamber, you should see a
lot of steam coming from the tail pipe and it smells like coolant. |

；可能也没有进engine combustion chamber，没有明显的白雾出来，不过也有可能我
们这里温度太高（110 F），白雾不明显。
要是真的就是ustoca所说的head gasket问题，我真想给信用卡公司打电话了！ |

area.
I believe you got rip off.
seems head gasket leak to me.
flush the engine, to check the coolant come out of the engine,
if look like brow thick mud. that is head gasket leak.
if not, check all entire coolant system (hose)
find out where is leak.
on the meantime. keep add coolant to the system.
you will see something happen. |

去dealer那 去dealer那换了个coolant tank就好了

added?
500cc or a half gallon, or one gallon.
If more, you should see overheat first.
Less than 500cc, then fine. You can try coolant stop leaking? It works for
small one. Just don't forget to run the engineer for ten or more minutes
after you add it to the coolant reservoir.

最近没有外出，开车少，主要就是local买买菜，教会聚聚会，一周也就60mile左右。

One of my friend had same problem with his 02 Jeep liberty, his mechanic found out his engine is slowly overheating and the problem ended up to be the electric cooling fan. It did take a lot of effort to diagnose.
There are some really good mechanics around, try harder to find them.

I think the tank you are talking about is the coolant reservoir.
You should never fully fill the coolant reservoir, instead only filled to
the max label. You can find it on the wall of the reservoir. It's near the
bottom of reservoir. So the tank should look empty, only a small amount on
the bottom.
If you still see some coolant in the reservoir, most likely there's no leak
at all for you car.
You lost coolant because overflow, a designed behavior.

发帖数: 1077 | 20 如果你的车和我的老爷车一样老，不想大修了。也不预期再开很多年。
你可以考虑补coolant leakage的液体或者粉末。我在Walmart买了一管最便宜的(<$3)
粉末，倒进去。完全不漏了，有一年了。之前一两个星期漏光reservoir里的。
BTW，这东西只是暂时的，而且可能会部分堵塞管道。但是便宜，对我管用。
好车、新车不推荐。不过如果是很旧的车，不想再花大价钱修的，你自己权衡吧。 |
