实在不想再说”drive one, you'll learn“了，刚才开柴油F250的兄弟都引用了。我
想以一个很主观的例子说明吧：
1. 这段路（http://maps.google.com/maps?q=40.867964,-73.544712&num=1&t=m&z=15）是坡度比较大的连续上坡，我经常开因为weekend home在那里。开A6 3.2和535i都需要降档，降速再提高转速，非常不流畅；而柴油车入坡出坡一个档位，转速从1200rpm提高到2500rpm，入坡的时候可以做到提着速爬坡不降档，整个完成这段路的时间比汽油车要短，驾驶的感受是汽油车无法比的。有个开8缸Jag的朋友开我的车走这段路感受和我是一样的。所谓"drive one, you'll learn”
2. 在城市里走走停停，流畅感和动力传递及时性，从驾驶者的角度来讲，柴油车完胜
汽油车，去问问任何一个在Sprinter的和开8缸汽油GMC的那些司机就知道了。华人经营
的小巴士没有人用汽油，司机说汽油车没劲儿在市里一走一停没法儿开。

hardest at its torque peak in any given gear, and will not accelerate as
hard below that peak, or above it. Torque is the only thing that a driver

context. 300 foot pounds of torque will accelerate you just as hard at 2000
rpm as it would if you were making that torque at 4000 rpm in the same gear,
yet, per the formula, the horsepower would be *double* at 4000 rpm.
