Don't lose your sleep over this. Anybody can submit complaints on any
problem, doesn't mean they are real.
In fact, go to:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/complaintse
and search complaints received by government on vehicle speed issues, almost
every car has unintended acceleration, specifically Toyotas. But what are
the official investigation outcome? Nothing. Toyota is found not responsible
for any of the cases. People's stupidity is. |

确实我以前也没听说过这个问题，
突然看到这个，感觉还挺吓人的，
还好2012款的暂时没看见人报告有自动加速的问题。
btw, 丰田上次有没有个官方的调查结果阿，感觉好像就不了了之了。

我只记得是地毯的问题，
不过好像这个说法被很多人质疑。

然后就有人出来黑Honda。可惜从来没有实证过。toyota那些可是不光有录像，是100%
出了人命的

发帖数: 2045 | 8 Recall is for floor-mat trapping pedals, which according to NHTSA official
report was the only problem in Toyota vehicles. Government found no problem
with brake or electronic throttle.
The report (Feb 2011) found that ALL Unintended Acceleration can be stopped
simply by stepping on the brake. One conclusion is the most likely cause of
some acceleration complaints is "pedal misapplication" (I call it just
stupidity).
This is Audi in the 80's all over again.

发帖数: 2045 | 10 不是我说，是政府调查报告说的，你先读一读executive summary在下结论。
你这个Recall的名字就叫“potential floor mat interference campaign”，属于
idiot-proof recall，不代表toyota设计有问题。实际如果floor mat用的原装的，都
带钩子的，怎么可能滑到前面去？这种recall我在宝宝版见得多了，什么stroller容易
夹到小孩子手啦，baby monitor电源线容易勒着小孩那，在我看来都是家长比较idiot
，但是美国企业胆子小，怕被人告，就天天recall，搞得toyota和Audi不得不跟着搞
idiot proof。
真正有危险的recall是那种ford自己着火和GM方向盘自己掉下来那种，你说跟toyota地
毯比起来，哪个更危险？
