几十个不同Type的廉价Sensor拟合个近似值g
目前速度还有问题 做到实时不容易
这就是特斯拉的路子 和狗八杆子打不着

工业界的laser scanner只承认两家leica和faro
其余全是忽悠
laser scanner的门槛极高 要nist认证的 不是几个startup能忽悠的
用photogrammetry毫米级都做不到100刀以下

none of those were made for autopilot purposes - because there was no such
market.
once there is a market and profit, the cost will go down - economies of
scale

it's no where near the complexity of micro processors chips, GPUs, ccd
sensors, and look at where they are now.
also, why you need a laser in the first place? if you just measure distance,
ultrasound sensors are cheap and mature, much more robust for all weather
conditions. even you need 3d shape scanning capability, structure light is
not the only way to get it done.

of course it depends on FOV, I can easily get sub-mm 3D shape scans using a
$15 webcam.

拿来给我们测
手持式 吹牛吹得一塌糊涂
结果误差稳定性差老了去了 娱乐娱乐 还行
拿来工业界用 就是搞笑
而且这些玩意一般都吹在最佳距离精度6mm左右 其实能稳定在1.5cm就不错了

这玩意不是照相机 拍烂了也行 再来一次
measurement这行 10000次measure错一次 整个设备就是failed
懂了不
你这破玩意稳定误差这么大 而且range这么小
你指望boeing 车厂买你这这玩意inspection？
就是gis公司都不会买你这玩意 range太小

you made the assumption that consumer products are not as reliable. this is
apparently a bias. anything, if a market is perceived, can become industry
use. it is just a matter of specs, cost, and QA. again, cost WILL GO DOWN
rapidly as long as the market explodes.
we are not talking about boeing, nor about gis. we are talking about auto
sensors, it is a consumer market.
if you don't think your product can be readily applicable for autopilot,
then, it is not a market segment for your company. move on, stay with your
niche segments, perhaps you will still be successful for those markets, but
eventually something else will replace you.

靠10000次scan 你错一次或者误差大一次还得了
现在的方法是用很多不同type的sensor冗余计算配合高精度地图
这就是特斯拉的方法
google的方法就是顶两个工业级lidar 一个和一辆特斯拉差不多贵
这个版二傻一说auotpilot马上对google高潮

you still did not get my point - car sensor market is a much bigger market,
thus, it can create the scale that makes expensive, sophisticated technology
cheap and accessible - just like the PC market has made microprocessors,
GPUs affordable today, and mobile communication market has made mobile
sensors and devices ubiquitous.
you kept saying it needs higher accuracy, yes, I never disagreed with you, I
am just saying your current measure of cost is going to become invalid when
the market grows.
it cost a lot today, does not mean it will cost a lot tomorrow.
