In Canada we have always been able to vacation in Cuba. Wonderful people &
beautiful country. I was there with my family last year, mostly to enjoy
the old cars. We took a guided tour in a '57 Chevy from Veradero to Havana.
The '57 Chevy had the seats & interior from a Chinese bus. The motor was a
4 cylinder Toyota. The gear selector was on the steering column like any '
50s US car, but it was a 5 speed manual. Very interesting how it shifted.
Most of the windows were plexiglass. The suspension & steering was of
unknown origin. The body was full of filler. But it was well loved.
The guide explained that all these old cars are used every day. Mostly as
taxis. They are very valuable there & must earn their keep, so they go non-
stop all day every day. They each have literally "millions" of miles on
them. The only thing about most of them that is actually a '50s US car is
the general body shape. Most are 4 door post sedans, as they are more
useful, stronger & have held up better than the flashier hardtop models.

旧美车，里面的东西还是不是原装的。。。譬如我贴的那个comment，那个chevy的
motor换成哪家了？
