先说动力，0-30mph的时候加速非常快，尤其在sport mode下有很强的推背感。我看
volt标称是294lb-ft torque 电车是瞬时到这个数的。40-
60mph加速感觉逐渐减弱，但还是感觉很快，60往上，在高速上，就开始肉了，基本是
140hp汽油菜车的感觉了
但一般在城里开，大部分时候不超过50mi，另外由于车后部全是电池，前后配重比较均
匀，重心也低一些。等红灯变绿的时候，可以瞬间甩别的他车很远，还很安静。对于一
个2万出头的菜车电车，感觉还是很惊艳的，当然也可能我没开过什么马力大的好车。

再说电池和汽油机：volt标称纯电能跑53miles.按60-70mph跑高速，不用sport mode就
用normal mode，应该是可以的。但高速上如果速度很快，比如80mph，或者城市里猛踩
油门，就会掉电很快。而如果堵车，车速很慢30mph走走停停，跑了10miles，却可能只
掉电3miles，我都是城市跑而且上下班堵车，所以充满电里程总是超过标称53miles。
所以电车作为拥堵地区的上下班通勤车，倒是比较理想，油车这个时候反
而最费油。
volt没电了，还可以用一个1.5L的汽油发动机发电，油箱10加仑不到，mpg42。不同于
其他
hybrid，volt的汽油发动机不能直接驱动，而只是一个发电机给电池充电，让电池维持
一定电量，驱动电动机。从纯电到纯油的切换很smooth，感觉不到。这个结构挺新颖，
省去了hybrid复杂的结构，但如果电池坏了，车也废了，不像hybrid车还可以继续开。
再说内饰：我的是LTbase+leather seats 内饰跟premium版比不同的好像是没有chrome
装饰条。内饰对于一个msrp 35000-40000的车来说，应该算是惨不忍睹。但是GM也不傻
，由于政府补贴，没人会把volt看成35000的车，而是2万出头的菜车，按此标准，内饰
算同价位菜车里中等，跟civic EX-L差不多，感觉不如大众和丰田这两家内饰好的菜车
。但有些地方非常粗糙，在菜车里也算差的。估计钱都花在电池上了，而且听说GM也卖
一台亏一台。电车菜车，光靠省油，如果没有补贴，真是难以想象会有什么销量。
全液晶仪表版和7寸平板比较fancy，顺便吐槽carplay用苹果不能打开google map 只能
用苹果的地图
再说空间：对于一个compact car来说，前排空间算是比较大，后排也有一定腿部空间
。但是后排只能坐两个人，虽然GM声称是5座，但是电池是T型的，后座下面是T的横，
所谓第5座位对着T的竖线，没有腿的空间。这个对很多人是deal breaker。有小孩的想
把婴儿椅子放中间，腿伸不开。
GM在没有在第二代volt中改变这个坑爹的设计，估计也是舍不得钱更改电池设计，不知
道因此
让多少人放弃volt
另外后排头部空间小，头顶后玻璃了。trunk比较小。 |

I assume your reference is the driver's seat.
relative to the full body, volt's battery is mostly in the middle section.

there is a lot spare space in the rear, I wish that GM had made a true 5th
seat by cutting a section of the battery and moving it to the rear,
unfortunately that did not happen. I expect GM will switch to a skate-board
battery form factor, like in the Bolt, when they start working on the Gen 3.

if you purchase, just file Form 8936 next year with your tax return. most
tax software supports this

no, I don't think so.
but if you run out of battery AND out of gas at the same time, you may still
be able to drive a few (~4) miles. the car will enter a "limp mode" with
reduced power

I actually like the interior of the Gen2 volt a lot. I test drove an MB B-
class ED years ago, it has both wood and leather, as most people define as a
"luxurious" interior, but it is not my cup of tea. I like modern and
minimalism designs (something like BMW i3's interior)
the gen 2 volt has a clean and functional interior. that's all that matters
for a commuter's car. the touch screen and android auto/carplay are most
useful; the intuitive climate control buttons are big steps forward from Gen
1. admittedly, there is a lot of plastic, but the color and layout are
nicely designed.
My only complain is the missing of music skip forward/backward buttons form
the steering wheel. Fortunately, when streaming via android auto or USB, one
can use Fav-up and Fav-down to skip.

我觉得volt+leather的内饰比前两个类似或者稍微好点，但价格便宜很多。
civic 有皮座要2万4otd，斯巴鲁crosstrek要2万8才能有皮座
但如果要是把volt看成msrp 3万5-4万的compact car，内饰确实比较差。
我的抱怨是居然没有HD radio，我常听的一个台，一个频道，HD radio可以分辨三个子
频道，volt只能收到一个子频道，第二个第三个分辨不出来

广播电台会用同一个频道同时传输模拟和数字信号，没有HD radio只能收到模拟信号

the actual MPG number obviously depends on the temperature, speed, AC/
heating settings and your driving habit.
here is a trip I did in May (50mi of the 208 mi total was the commute from
the previous day). the gas MPG is shown as blue, and the battery MGPe is
shown as green.
Over most part of the trip, the car cruised at 65 mph, and I used AC in the
ECO mode for the returning. Without AC, the gas MPG was around 52.
In snowy winters, this number can be lower than 40 because of heating.
if driving above 70, you should expect to see a significant MPG drop (air
drag is cubic to the speed).
