On April 15, 2008, Weaver signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee
Brewers.[1] If he was called up to the majors by June, it could be worth up
to an estimated $4-5 million with incentives. The base salary was likely at
league minimum, however.[2] On June 12, Weaver requested and was granted a
release from his contract. On July 5, Weaver signed a minor league contract
