the Lakers did not pick him.
PJ asks for $20M for two years, and others.
MDA agrees to $12M for three years, happily.
Is this a wise choice by the Lakers? It might be.
I have always thought that PJ is a master in managing
super stars, but is not really good in making plays.
He used to make the right timeouts and the right substitutions.
However, I could not understand his substitutions in his last
few years with the Lakers.
I never thought MDA can lead a team to a championship.
His style of play is exciting to watch in the regular
season. However, in the playoffs, D (not O) wins games.
MDA can make both Nash and Kobe happy. PJ might not make
either happy. I think the Lakers will be good to watch
in the regular season. There will be more points, more
assists, and more rebounds. So both the players and the
fans will be happy--in the regular season. |
