UC Plans Employee Salary Reductions, Furloughs to Address Budget Shortfall
A memo issued by University of California President Mark Yudof Wednesday (
June 17) outlines three salary reduction and furlough options for UC
employees. These reductions will help the university address the severe
fiscal challenges it is facing. The combination of actual and proposed cuts
by the State to UC’s budget for the current and upcoming fiscal years will
result in shortfall of nearly $800 million.

Will furloughs/salary cuts apply to all employees, including faculty and
represented employees?
Yes. In order to ensure equity across the University, whichever option is
chosen would apply to all faculty and staff, except student employees. The
Academic Senate has been closely involved in consultation on these options.
Implementation of the final plan is subject to collective bargaining for
represented employees. The President may recommend a hybrid Plan that
achieves the ei

1）降8%，收入为9万二；
2）21天无薪假+不降，收入也是九万二；
3）12天无薪假+降3.4%，收入仍是九万二。
那我当然选2啦，一样工资，还有21天休假。而且将来若涨工资以月薪、时薪算，也是2
的基数高啊
