found extremely fascinating is about mathematical modelling of metabolic
network for prediction of knockout or overexpression targets for improving
the production of certain commercially important pharmaceuticals. But
recently I felt somewhat frustrating when I read some paper from Palsson's (
UCSD) group. I am not scared by the genome-scaled constraints-based model
but the software they are using. I am kind of an idiot in | p******n 发帖数: 874 | 2 Mac uses Mac OS, which is some kind of BSD. For linux, install any flavor
you want on to your PC. BTW, every university has unix/linux labs. | e*******e 发帖数: 1837 | 3 You can install a linux system (e.g. CDLinux) on a flash drive. Just boot up

| w********r 发帖数: 9 | 4 linux can be installed in PC and free
an even easier way is using a ssh client like PuTTy,
and then remote log in a unix server
but you need to have an account in the server
read a simple book like unix for dummies and experiment with the system,
you'll find how handy the system is
