那些拿到stimulation 的大牛实验室们原来可能客气一点，现在就要挽起袖子和
小实验室们抢饭吃了。所以一批今年没有拿到NIH grant 的小实验室明年就有麻烦了。
上个星期我们老板和NIH program（我们的资金所在的program) director 通电话,
她很严肃的告诉我们：明年的申请看起来不妙，让我们做好准备，很可能就是一锤子买卖
(you may only have one shot, so you may need to prepare it really well)
吓得我们发抖了好几天。我们现在正在疯狂的找alternative funding resource.

我们本来打算今年年底交的，对方让我们先把最相关的那两篇文章发出去，然后再交申请。
她说的是我们如果今年底交的话，如果没有那两篇最相关的文章，基本上没有机会。

It's pretty clear by now US economy is not getting well any time soon. It's
going to be slow recovery. I suspect they have to balance the budget somehow
and military spending will still go up more and eat up more of the budget.
My feeling is that the stimulus package is just shifting money that would be spent in future years to cur

像现在政府这样，赤字搞那么大，priority又在别处，哪里还有钱来支持科研。
