荐Immunology,说以后转Medicine 容易。请问大家这个方向申请拿到全奖的可能性有多
少？她的GT分都不错。大家有没有听说过这个方向申请有什么tips? 可以建议一下怎么
才能增加申请到全奖的几率么？

她的陈述如下：
“most of my classmates went to the department like Molecular and Cell
Biology, Structual Biology, Biochemistry and sth. like that. And these are
the easiest majors for the international students as I heard. And as far as
I know, those directed at Medicine or Biomedicine ended up not very good, I
guess you know what I mean. From what I have been told, directions and
majors related to Medicine might happen to be the majors that permanent
residents are interested in. Therefore, there are might not enough positions
for inthernation students.
However, I was intended to apply a major more related to applied science. So
my teacher told me immunology might be an ideal direction. Because it is
relevant to medicine pretty much and still needs many students major in
biology every year, and sometimes it even is included in Molecular and Cell
Biology Department. But I am not familiar with this area before. I don't
know what the odds to apply it in general. Although I know that sometimes it
is silly to consider the odds, because every one has his or her own case,
it will be really helpful if I know how hard it would be and what should I
do to increase the probability of successful application.” | b*******y

在没有内部推荐，没有牛推，没有美国暑期实习经验的情况下，本科牌子和GPA基本就
是最硬的通货啊。。。GT倒不是那么重要。。 | c********r

补充一下例子：
我接触过几个清北的生科前5名，实验做的很一般，也不会什么技术，没有牛推，文献
阅读和思路都平庸，至少不算出色。
但是就凭着四年苦读拼出来的硬件，基本盲申TOP20一定最少有一个Offer.
倒是欧洲比较看重MATCH实验技术和交流，对于硬件卡的不是很狠，也不是片面看文章
。因为面试时候的交流是最重要的，教授也明白，大多数本科生的文章也就是听话干活
换来的，并不能作为评价他自己学术水平的标准。
我接触过一个国内来的硕士，5分文章一作，8分文章并列一作，顶级刊物第三作者。但
是面试表现不好，最后照样没有录取。 |
