c***3 发帖数: 251 | 1 We are pleased to announce the first beta release of the Mosaic plugin. This
is the first of a suite of plugins under development for annotating,
analyzing and visualizing networks with Gene Ontology terms. Mosaic uses
all three branches of GO to:
* Partition into subnetworks based on Biological Process terms
* Layout each subnetwork using a cellular template based on Cellular
Component terms
* Color nodes based on Molecular Function terms
Start with a network having any standard gene identifiers and Mosaic will
retrieve GO annotations ("full" or "slim" versions) and then perform the
partitioning, layout and coloring with a single click. Find more details and

This work was developed as a collaboration between the National Resource for
Network Biology http://nrnb.org, the University of Missouri, and Columbia University, funded by Google Summer of Code and NIH RR031228. 这个主要的目的是基于Gene Ontology的生物网络的分解与显示。
比如说RNA-Seq或者Microarray数据的处理,通常会使用DAVID之类的工具来来看那些功
能是过表达的,最后的结果一般就是列出一个GO功能的列表,不直观,也不能同时关注
多个特性。
现在这个东西的特点:
1.进行自动的功能注释
2.根据不同属性(可以是GO的属性,也可以是一般属性)立体的去显示,从而使复杂的
生物网络,或者一族基因/蛋白,能够以更清晰,更直观的方式表现出来
