The exam score (x) is an integar from 0 to 100. but the brain size (y) is numeric from 0 to 20.0. Is the exam score discrete or continuous? If we use lm(y~x), does it mean we treat the exam score as a continuous variable? what is the difference between a factor and a discrete data variable?
