发帖数: 1 | 1 Postdoctoral Position in Quantitative Transcriptional Regulation
The Brewster lab is looking for a talented Postdoc in the field of
quantitative transcriptional regulation. We are a new lab in the Program in
Systems Biology at the UMass Medical School. We study the biophysics of
gene regulation in bacteria with the primary purpose of developing and
testing quantitatively predictive models through the use of modern synthetic
biology techniques. In particular, we are interested in dissecting how the
sharing of molecular resources in the cell influences gene expression and
thus cellular decision making. As a lab we make heavy use of bacterial
cloning and wide field fluorescence microscopy to manipulate the cell and

The ideal candidate is, first and foremost, interested in quantitative
pursuits in regulatory biology and holds a PhD in a related field.
Experience in a wet lab working with bacteria is also essential (proficiency
with molecular biology and sterile technique, for instance). Experience
with fluorescence microscopy techniques and familiarity with theoretical
modeling is also useful.
