my previous postdoc boss is trying to bring me back to his lab. From bottom
of my heart, I really do not like industry job. However, the pay is too low
from a Biology lab to support my family. What is your opinion about this?

Not easy to switch to different type of industry job as it always prefer to
use your previous job experience.

We have not discussed the details. He only shoot me an email and I am trying
to get back to him and so hesitated! Base on my previous labmate experience,
the best he could offer might be a senior scientist. Don't know the salary
yet. I bet it won't be high.

title, salary, term, etc. One won't be able to assess his career path
without knowing these. So I won't bother to make a decision on staying in
industry or returning to academia before I find out more about this position
